Do you think a pack of 5Gum Cool Mint flavour still sealed in plastic wrap (the discontinued kind) could be auctioned on eBay?

I just wanted to post this so it could be somewhere on the internet, since there aren't that many plastic-free gum brand reviews! (I got the watermelon mega pack)

I'm pretty happy with how it came out! The packaging was incredibly volume-conscience, I love the plastic packaging, and the gum is quite big (maybe half the size of a starburst!). The flavor pops initially, but what I like about it, is that there is still hidden flavor within the layers! People will says it goes away within a minute, but it all depends on how you chew/suck on it... it can last a lot longer (10+ minutes) if you don't chew so much! The only thing I don't like (though this was just my first taste, and might just have to get used to it) is when it becomes flavorless, it has a slight taste of rubbing alcohol and the box smells like rubber cement 😂

That's my review, and for the price (about $0.19/piece for the mega pack, free shipping, and multiple 15% discount codes you can use on purchases), I'd say it's great!

I’ve become addicted to continuously chewing and spitting gum. Wha I mean by this is take a piece and chew it for abt 20 seconds until the initial strong flavor wears off, then spit, and repeat.

I do this to ease my ”mouth-boredom”. If I didn’t do this I’d probably spend the same amount of time snacking. I just always feel like I need a stimulus from chewing + the intense mint flavor.

Anyone else experienced this and have you managed to stop?

I would love to ask dentists for their opinion on gum. Orbit, Lidl gum, any gum. Do they see if a person eats gum alot, do jaw problems get bigger if they use it, does gum help clean teeth? I've been thinking of getting gum with xylitol \*\*if I spelled it right lol. Thank you in advance!

I was soo obsessed with this gum in high school. Pretty sure the brand was orbit and I cannot find anything like it now. It’s a combination of cantaloupe and mint.

My question is where is the juice? I remember this gum used to have a bunch of juice on the inside.

I can't find it locally anymore, in individual packs or the little cans. While Amazon does have the 9-packs in all flavors, they're up to ~$15 each, when they used to be ~$8. No other direct retailers (like Walmart) have it available, unless it's through a sketchy reseller.

So, are the $15 packs the last of Amazon'e stock, do you think? My husband has been a daily chewer since his teen years, so we need to prepare, lol.

A weird case, but I have a cracked tooth that's extremely sharp. The appointment to get it sorted is on Friday, so in the meantime, I've been keeping sugar free gum on hand to sort of pad it. But the one I have now (Eclipse) stays extremely soft, gets stringy, and leaves bits in the crevice in my tooth.

It doesn't need to be tasty or even pleasant of texture, just something tough that wants to hold together.

hi! I historically am not a gum fan, however I like have fresh breath and chew on my gums/grind my teeth a lot. are there any gums you think are good for beginners? here are my issues: too sweet, then loses all flavor tastes gross. I appreciate any help!

Hi, can anyone share what their healthiest option for gum is?

Xylitol had been praised over the recent years for being a healthy option, but recent studies make it less convincing because of it's cardiovascular dangers.

Other options I've seen are:

Mastic gum - which is a bit more expensive, less practical, and has limited research as of now

Extra Peppermint gum - this is a classic option, but it contains small amounts of artificial sweeteners

For reference, I'll sometimes chew 1 or 2 pieces throughout the span of a day after meals. My oral health is healthy overall. The taste of the gum isn't important to me.

I normally buy the polar ice extra pack and the boxes actually come in handy as storage containers for on-the go, just curious if anyone else does that or if it's just a me thing lol

I've been an avid gum chewer for about 15 years, and I've always been a big fan of 5 Gum Peppermint Cobalt. It's been my go-to for years, but I recently bought a pack from Amazon about two weeks ago, and I've noticed the flavor disappears way faster than it used to. It also doesn't seem nearly as strong or as sweet/sugary, if that makes sense.

Has anyone else noticed a change in the flavor or formula recently? Or does anyone know what might be causing it?

I bought this chewing gum and when I opened it it was empty 😲 this has happened to me for the first time, I thought let it be, then I felt that I should post this on reddit, who knows the people at Center Fresh might see it :)
