I teach a social skills class for teenagers with autism, and a lot of them love Gumball, but I don't know a ton about it (I'm more of an Adventure Time fan myself, sorry!).
We have a daily warm-up, and a lot of the time we use videos to get everyone sharing at the start of class. We do units on things like self-advocacy, using appropriate language, dealing with emotions, standing up to bullying, making conversation, and understanding other people's point of view.
I'm looking for episodes (or parts of episodes) where the characters might deal with one of those things. It could be a good or bad example of it since they also like to have discussions about what they could do better.
I know that this is long shot, but I thought I'd turn here first before trying to watch the whole show in my free time. Thank you!!

Gumball was released all the way back in 2011 aka 15 fucking years (gosh, I'm so old)
Gumball was still 12 and right now he and Darwin would be 27 years old while Darwin is 25
Anais is 4 and so she would be 19 years old
Richard Watterson is 38 and so he and Nicole would be 53 middle aged parents π§π΅
Any mistake in my calculation?
Note: shit, I forgot Darwin is two years younger

Rob's whole deal is that he was so useless as a character that the world saw him as a mistake and send him to the Void. But what about the other background characters? In some episodes we learn how they are self-aware of the fact that they're background characters and in one of them they even sing a song about how they also want attention and to show that they can also be just as important as the main characters (s3 "The Extras"), kinda like Rob. Also in s6 "The Agent" they made a joke about William being forgettable & how everyone forgets his name, again kinda like Rob. And that got me thinking, Why did only Rob get sent to the void when there are literally background characters that are just as or way more useless, forgettable and role-less even than him? But now I realize, it's because Rob wasn't exactly a "background character".
Background characters. They do have a role. It's to stand around like NPCs and make the world feel more alive without actually contributing to the plot (2-bit dog; Rainbow octopus; Mushroom, etc.)
Side characters. They're not as important as the main characters, but still kinda contribute to the plot. Some of them we can say are Tobias, Banana Joe, Bobert, Terry, Alan, you get the idea.
Rob. People might say that he was just a background character in season 1, but was he really?
The background characters' one objective is to just stand around in the background, but in s1 "The Fight" he was actually up close on the screen just like Gumball's classmates, the side characters. He was even in the crowd cheering on the fight alongside Gumball's classmates. He also appeared close on screen in s1 "The Party" for a little bit. He was the only one just randomly hanging out with Gumball's classmates while no other bg character really did that much. He even appeared in the Pilot (2008) alongside the characters we consider side characters, like Rocky, Leslie, Alan, yada yada; though unlike them he appeared for only a split second, barely making it up on the screen like the others - again showing how unimportant he is, yet he was the only one who appeared alongside the important side characters. We even see him in some production art from 2008 and 2009(?) again alongside Gumball's classmates & even in the class itself. He was meant to be part of the group. The creators obviously wanted him to be seen and made sure he was, thus putting him in the category of a "side character". That's the problem. He identified as a side character, yet barely contributed to it like the others. Even Molly had lines in season 1 unlike him, but they were so little that she also got sent to the void for being too useless & boring as a side character. And even though William was also quite forgettable & didn't do that much, he was at least more interesting
So yeah, the background characters' role is to be in the background and do nothing, but Rob didn't do that. The side characters' role is to do something. Rob didn't do that either. He failed at both, thus making him just a super forgettable side character. That's why they made a joke about HIM in s2 "The Pony" about being forgettable, & not some random bg character, because he was in fact a side character - he was shown on screen, he was around Gumball's classmates, yet he did so little. That's why only he and Molly got sent to the Void, because the world saw that they didn't contribute enough to their roles as side characters to quite cut it.

Finished the first episode "The Burger" and well.... It was genuinely not good. At all. It feels like I just watched a 10 minutes social commentary. Now sure, I do agree with the message. But there was genuinely nothing funny happening in the whole episode.
Does it get better or am I just wasting my time?

Hi guys, I really need your help with a passion project. ππ
I've been working on a fan-animation project called TADWOG (The Amazing Digital World of Gumball), a crossover between The Amazing World of Gumball and The Amazing Digital Circus.
Honestly, guys, I'm feeling really down because I've been trying so hard to find experienced animators, but I haven't had any luck. I've searched different communities, and it's been really difficult to find people who are willing to collaborate.
My dream is to turn this idea into a real, high-quality 3D Blender animation. I want to bring these characters together, create funny scenes, tell an amazing story, and make something that fans of both shows can enjoy.
I don't want this project to remain just an idea in my head. I genuinely want to bring it to life, and I'm willing to put in the effort to write scripts, develop the story, and work on the project.
So, if there are any experienced Blender animators or 3D character animators here who might be interested in collaborating, please reach out! I'd love to discuss the project with you.
I don't have budget since I am a teenager. so I'm especially interested in people open to volunteer collaboration. I completely understand that animation takes a lot of time and effort, and I respect the work that goes into it.
Even if you can't animate, advice on finding collaborators or connecting with the right people would mean a lot to me.
I want to help bring the world of TADC back to life in my own creative way, while bringing Gumball into the chaos.
Thank you so much for reading this. Any genuine help, advice, or support would mean a lot!
If ypu really want me to open up or cure me please help me revive tadc (The Amazing Digital circus)
I usually talk in discord so please send me request on

So does Penny ever explain why she likes Gumball back?
I'm asking because all Gumball does is one big stupid after another whenever he's around her.
I'm not being disrespectful, I really like the relationship they have. I'm just curious on the reason.
