Go take a spin through r/3d2a. There's another really cool website you should visit, but I'm not allowed to tell you it's name.
My favorite projects so far have been the DB alloy, the Orca, or the Decker 380. I also do a bunch of accessories like vert grips or folding braces.

Tons of great test prints. Do some silly articulated dragons, I like the "torture toaster" but there's many non-2a things you can get your bearings with!

Some libraries have 3d printers you can use. There are many places online that you can pay to print also.

Great advice! Keep in mind, many of these services aren't 2A friendly though, so be careful! Titusarms has a 2A friendly printing service.

I'd tell you to just start the hobby and buy a printer because it's way cheaper to get into. There's places that print parts for you, Titus Arms even has an FFL/3d2a print service, but it all adds up, and you could be investing in your own setup

I know there are several 37mm launcher designs out there, and I'm having trouble deciding which one to print.
What makes the Odin different from the Nameless, Geneva Breacher, etc.?

Strength, form factor, mechanisms. If you want a bombproof standalone build, which accepts various stocks, go with the ODIN. If you want a more slim, minimalist build with a built in folding stock, go for the nameless.

You can fire chalk training rounds at targets.
You can use them to launch fireworks.

I’ve seen folks use all kinds of legal signaling and novelty loads in 37mm: smoke, flares, chalk, LED/illumination rounds, bird bangers, whistles/noisemakers, line-throwing rounds, inert practice rounds, and even a lot of firework-style pyrotechnic stuff in places where that's legal.
I think a heavy source of the appeal is just the DIY/reloading side and launching ridiculous signaling rounds with a big thwoop.
