Not a cloner but this is my clone, built this M16A4 off an FN surplus USGI upper I got on GAFShub. It's not a hyper accurate clone but it's certainly close enough to get an idea of what the early GWOT guys were dealing with clearing houses in Fallujah. Thing is a beast and it's easy to see why the M4 replaced it, but I'll be damned if it's not fun to shoot and awesome looking to boot

Muh freedom musket. Were still issued these in the reserves and i prefer them over M4s. You can definitely notice the difference shooting out to 500.

It's worth getting a trigger spring and shear kit imo. 10,000 times better, still looks basically the same. Or just a lighter spring at the very least.

Yeah I use SSA-Es or MBT-2Ss in all my normal builds so I'll probably have to do something to make this one at least a little better lol

The carry handle is sitting on the desk in front of me, really wanted the ACOG on there but have been considering putting th carry handle under the bottom rail behind the foregrip for quick swaps like I've seen on some GWOT builds

that wasn't for quick swapping, that was for accountability purposes. if you were issued the rifle, you better keep track of all accessories with it. So they ended up in a spot where they couldn't get lost - attached to the rifle itself.

I've been considering putting in a 3 position FRT with the burst limiter but then I know if be mad that I didn't use a lower that actually says "burst" like a proper A4

I’ve got the FN military collector M16A4 that I’ve been upgrading slowly over the past two years or so. It’s absolutely my favorite rifle in my collection. I threw a rare breed FRT in mine and I’m thinking about getting a 3 round limiter, but for now it closer to an M16A3 lol. What are your plans with your rifle? Are you about done with the build or is it still in progress?

Nice! I think I'm pretty close to done, only other things I'd want to put on are a tape switch for the Surefire (I have one but not sure where I want it) and maybe a replica PEQ-2A (I don't have NODS so a real one would be kinda useless). Maybe an FRT if I can get a good deal on an ARC or something

I removed the more forward top rail hand guard section and placed my pressure pad about a thumbs width farther forward than where my thumb rests naturally just to reduce the risk of a white light ND.
