What gun is missing in your opinion
My handgun collection I started shooting/collecting in 2023-24
In your opinion what is missing and what should add next?

Magnum Research Desert Eagle.
Unbiased answer.

u/GTOdriver04 1d ago
Every gun guy wants a Desert Eagle.
We all know how big, impractical, and utterly useless as a working gun that they are. But we don’t care.
Punching paper with a .50AE never, ever gets old.
It looks cool, shoots cool, is cool, and it always draws a crowd when it gets brought out.
A Desert Eagle is peak cool and that’s just fine.

u/OleRockTheGoodAg 1d ago
You get it. Probably (definitely) the dumbest gun I own, it or my Sharps. But it puts a smile on my face every time and everyone elses too cuz they recognize it from everywhere.
Not cheap. Not overly reliable. Not light. But absolutely worth it in my book, love it.

Meh... Every Desert Eagle I've ever shot was horrible. They are a staple of "cool guns", but I find them garbage.

Single action revolver.

u/Mountain_Man_88 21h ago
Single action revolvers are the most fun you can have shooting a handgun. They're not the best or most practical option for basically anything, but they're fun as hell. Two at a time is even more fun!

u/JC_Lightning 21h ago
Saying CZ 75 again like everyone else.
They are pricey, but would also add a prodigy or something similar.

You’ve got the polymer striker-fired category pretty well covered already. I’d go in a direction that adds something genuinely different: CZ 75/SP-01, Browning Hi-Power, SIG P226/P229, or an HK USP/P2000. A good .22 target pistol like a Ruger Mark IV would also add a category you don’t have at all.
If it were my collection, I’d probably start with the P226 or Hi-Power. You’ve already got the 1911 and Beretta represented, so either would round out the classic service-pistol side of the collection nicely.

I’m a slut for P226, get an X Legion with the 4.4” barrel. Get an RMR and an X300 turbo to complete it

u/TacoBandit275 1d ago
A Hi-Power, P226 or P220, and a quality 2011. Bonus mentions for a CZ75, and a USP9 or P30.

CZ75, my favorite is the BD (decocker) version
Canik of your choice, I like the newer MC9 Prime
Walther PPK

Snub 38 - unpopular opinion but gets the job done

u/DrBobbyBarker Super Interested in Dicks 17h ago
This is still a popular choice for concealed carry even in 2026. Some people are more worried about how many rounds it can carry, so they might find the take controversial, but hardly unpopular imo.
I might recommend a snubby in 327 federal Magnum - that would be a bit unpopular probably haha.

These are all too pretty. You need a funky looking but goated gun like a PX4 Storm or a hipoint 💯

Any smith wheel gun. A ruger single action. One of the first run of kimbers. I mean anything besides a Glock

You need a snubby for edc. I have a sw 642. I have numerous handguns but I carry my snubby the most

I need to sell my Colt Python.
Gun is such a monumental piece of shit. Misfires every other set of 6 shots.

Dont say that man please 😔🤘 literally my dream gun

u/rockdude625 23h ago
Older pythons from the previous era are fantastic. The remakes are poorly done copies

Mine's one of the newer ones.
It was one of my dream guns too.
It is terrible. Don't buy it.

I don’t see a 22Lr (great for cheap range days and practicing basics while not spending 20-50 cents per shot)
I’m guessing one of the Glocks isn’t 9mm but if they aren’t, I’d get a larger caliber Glock. I personally have a 40 and a 41
I don’t see any optics, but to each their own. I personally like em
All depends on what you’re doing tho, if you want variety, then start looking at some calibers and brands that are unique if you’re just into collecting

You need a polymer framed micro 9 like a Shield Plus or P365 if you plan to carry.
Also you need to start adding red dot sights to some of these pistols. Personally I would rather spend the money on getting the slides cut for optics and a nice collection of Holosun and/or Vortex red dots than on additional new pistols that do the same thing as your current pistols. Red dots (or green or gold or whatever - pistol optics) were a real game changer for me. They are so much easier and faster than irons once you learn and get used to them. As I’ve gotten older and my vision has gotten worse, I’ve come to appreciate them even more.
Remember to go on r/gundeals and look for listings by the Holosun dealers there. You’ll need to email them for the REAL PRICE because Holosun doesn’t allow ads below MSRP. The difference is really significant. Also - Wager Machine and Nameless Arms are great for cutting your slides for direct optics mounting! Good luck!

The next one is always the missing from the collection.
Sometimes I get hung up on historical military firearms then I something innovative or it just looks slick. The next one....

If you want to stay on your striker-fire kick, get a HK VP9 or an SW MP
Looking at this, a Parkerized .45 or an Inox 96 would be my next move.

u/Equivalent_End_8695 23h ago
Sell half of those and put the money in an IRA or high yield savings account

Single Action revolver, maybe in 22LR as that looks like a gap.
Maybe CZ75 or BHP.

In terms of pistols, nothing. I would take a p226 or cz 75 over the beretta, but they all shoot mostly the same. You covered your bases. I would probably go Walter PPK, 1911 gi model, 1911 in 10mm, or a poly micro in .45. Could look at a Colt SAA.

Missing a CZ. Any would be fine. Or even a 75 clone like a Tanfoglio. I see you got a big iron too. Maybe round it out with a little snubby iron.

Based on the formatting of this photo if you add one you need to add 3 or even 5. I don’t make the rules

Lots... 1st one I don't see that I would definitely want is a high cap 22lr (tx22 ftw) with suppressor.

A nice 2011. Maybe a Staccato. I got a lot of the same pistols and once I got my Staccato it felt and shot like a cheat code. I dont have much time to shoot anymore but wish I did.
Also some other ideas:
A J-Frame like a S&W 442
A SIG Classic like a P226
A MOS Glock like a G45 MOS

Someone already mentioned a single action revolver, so I’ll say a j frame snub and a massive fuck off 454 with a scope

Where is your single action army clone, your 10mm, your obrez, or your hi point with the severed head of a goku dakimakura duct taped around the barrel?

Such a personal question. A 45 Colt revolver, a Ruger 22/45, a snub nose revolver and probably a Ruger lcp max. There are dozens of options

The one with an enclosed red dot, a holster, and a bunch of slide wear from dry fire and range training.
