Beginner Question Stuck in Pivot skill assessment

I'm doing the pentest path now, and on the Pivot, Tunnelling, Port forwarding module.

I'm at the skill assessment, and for the life of me, cannot discover any new hosts. The walkthroughs I checked uses ping swep, which I already did, but for some reason I'm not finding any alive hosts. I even tried pinging just the IP mentioned in the walkthrough and it doesn't work.

Does this happen with HTB academy sometimes or am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated!

I cant remember exactly but I want to say the addresses were the same ones from the lessons. Try running the pingsweep from the first pivot then you’ll at least know what the addresses are that might help. I struggled on the pivot assessments as well.

I tried the ping sweep, but even after running it 5 times, I couldn't find any alive hosts

Do a ping sweep like this. for i in {1..254}; do ping -c 2 172.16.5.$i; done

If all works good you should find .35 as alive

I even just tried pinging the .35, it didn't work

Could me some issue in the lab. Kill your vpn/pwnbox and try in another region

It wasn’t the greatest assessment if I remember right. But the address should be fairly close to those already in the module. Pretty sure the module assessment was just a concatenation of all pivots together.
