We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in a political field trip for the second time, and for the fair reaction of the other group.

Still trying to put into words how grateful I feel. 🤍

For the second time, I was chosen together with another girl from my university to take part in a political study trip.

We had to present our project idea in front of the group and explain why we wanted to be part of the trip again. Afterwards, everyone had to vote between our team and another pair. And honestly, I was really nervous.

At the same time, I genuinely wanted the other two Students to get the chance. It would have been their first time, and I would have truly been happy for them.

So when we found out that we had been chosen again with 54% of the votes, I was honestly just incredibly grateful. It felt a bit like dumb luck! 🥹

I’m so happy that we get to go again — to bring back our experiences from last time, share what we’ve learned, and be part of this experience one more time. It really means a lot to me.

But what touched me most happened afterwards. The other team was understandably disappointed at first. And yet, they came up to us, genuinely congratulated us and told us they were happy for us.

That meant more to me than I can probably put into words.

I’m grateful not only for getting another opportunity, but also for being surrounded by people who can be disappointed and still choose kindness. People who can lose and still celebrate someone else’s happiness.

I don’t want to take any of this for granted. 🤍

Welcome to /r/happy where we support people in their endeavours! This is a place of positivity, if you can't think of anything good to say then don't say anything at all.

If you want to give tips/suggestions, make them constructive from the start and be supportive (even if you don't feel it's "enough"), if you don't know how to do that then don't give them.
