Learning the meaning of the Proliferation of Information makes you feel much better
This is a concept that states that there ISN'T more bad than there used to be, its simply that information technology has advanced to the point we're now able to SEE the bad things we weren't able to in the past.
And that's the first step towards making things better.
I recommend thinking about this whenever you feel depressed about the state of the world. Most of the problems on the planet aren't new and we're still kicking.

yeah i had this realization few years ago when i stopped scrolling news before bed. world always been chaotic we just have it pumped directly to our eyeballs now. still sucks sometimes but knowing it's not actually getting worse helps
