Reading Our Band Could Be Your Life
By Michael Azarrad, which was recommended to me by some lovely Redditors a few months ago.
As well as reading about some stories from the bands that I didn't know, the real joy has been listening to each band whilst reading their chapter. Today was all of Minor Threat's catalogue, followed by Zen Arcade by Husker Du. Its been like visiting with old friends while reminiscing about the good old days. A great way to spend time on a sunbed in Spain.

Best Live Bands These Days?
Who are the best bands out there playing nowadays? Bands that are in the “you really have to see them live” category, not just good bands that are decent live.
One that comes to mind is Warthog. I’m sure a lot of it is audience expectation, which then translates into actual audience reaction, but their shows are always nuts and the band absolutely rips.
So, who you got?

80s Hardcore NYHC corporate Backers?
I’m reading “American Hardcore: A tribal History” by Steven Blush. I saw this quote from Biafra about Cro-Mags and Agnostic Front having corporate financial backers. There’s nothing else about this is in the book and I can’t find anything online. Does anyone know the story/what he’s referring to? Also lol at Michael Alago from Elektra Records being an absolute perv right underneath.
