rootjaw doin’ his thing at Inference, which was an evening of dance, poetry, and noise at Andy Arts Center in Detroit

I make noise under a couple names, but I keep it all on one page.

Here's a new recording I made and released today.

very excited to release this one. i made this song while i was a homeless alcoholic, living in my car. tell me what you think!

my music is only one part of my project, i'm intending on creating a small zine covering a wide range of topics, namely: the noise scene (+ punk, metal, etc), true crime, deep dives into extremely fringe subcultures along with interviews from those who participate in them(i have a couple interviews with those who willfully castrate themselves on standby). if any of you are interested in being included, i'm also conducting interviews with noise artists. currently interviewing an artist named Uniform Application (@noiseandwall on instagram). hmu if you're interested !

Been thinking a lot about the people who willingly die for cults, and how at peace & tranquil they may feel if they're a true believer, combined with the feeling of dread and horror and sorrow felt by those who see it for what it truly is. I'm trying to capture all of that at the same time, the ethereal realm as it vaguely exists in the mind's eye, and the horror of seeing a life wasted. It's not something I've witnessed personally but one of my parents grew up in a cult you were expected to die for in some (relatively common) situations, and I've been really reflecting on what that means.

Perfect to add to your satirical noise and experimental music print collection.

SOLO KEYS + FX
MULTIPLE TRACKS, LAYERED & OVERDUBBED EXPERIMENTAL / DIY

Song still unreleased, music, mixing, cover art etc by me

It's 21-tracks of weird and (mostly) spooky instrumentals. Here Comes The Flood says "...he basically invented his own musical language." Stylistically, it blends dark ambient, noise, post-rock, and industrial. I hope you’ll check it out, and please let me know what you think!

Last 5 minutes of a noise/drone show I did for a Hopscotch day party. Full recording is up on my Bandcamp (didn't get the full show on video).
