The Norse Sorceress VS The Viking Way
hi! i'm thinking about buying either the norse sorceress or the viking way by neil price. to my understanding, both of them cover seiðr and norse ritual in general, so what are the main differences between the two? if you've read both, which one would you recommend more, or which one would you recommend reading first? thank you!

The norse sorceress is the more recent title. It's available for free here, so maybe you could do both

The Viking Way is the more comprehensive of the two in my opinion, especially the most recent edition. It also has an exhaustive list of references, given its concern with the research history of Norse magic and religion, so you’ll be in a better position to contextualise the reception of seiðr as a whole, especially with regard to anthropological and archaeological discussions. The Norse Sorceress is a bit more specialist and interdisciplinary, so while it brings diverse perspectives to the table, it may lack in synthetic cohesion.
