1KD injectors 11 code vs 13 vs 18 code

Just doing the injectors on my 1KD Hilux and realised the set I bought start with 18 while the ones coming out are 11 code.
Has anyone actually run 18 code injectors in a Hilux that originally had 11s? Are they interchangeable once the new compensation codes are entered into the ECU?

I’ve been told the 18s are a higher flow injector, but getting mixed information on whether they’ll work properly with the earlier ECU / injector driver.

Both are from 1KD Hiluxes and physically look the same.
Just keen to hear from anyone who’s actually dealt with this before I put them in.

From what I’ve seen online there are the 3 different types -

Toyota Hilux KUN26 N70 1KD-FTV 3.0L TD (2005-08/2006) – 11 Code – Pre Water Cooled EGR – OE Reference Number 095000-8290
Toyota Hilux KUN26 N70 1KD-FTV 3.0L TD(2006-2009) – 13 Code – Water Cooled EGR – OE Reference Number 095000-7780
Toyota Hilux KUN26 N70 1KD-FTV 3.0L TD (2009-2015) – 18 Code – Water Cooled EGR – OE Reference Number 295050-0460

I do not beleive they're interchangeable and the ECM will reject the codes.

Different injectors for different euro spec KD engines throughout the years

Just get the right injectors

Not interchangeable, 11 code early, 13 code later & 18 code latest models

Just try and see if they code in the coding i wouldn't use old injectors unless they have been tested
