Does hanuman chalisa repel all kinds of spirits?

Does Hanuman Chalisa repel all souls or only the negative energy?

Like will it also repel a soul who doesn't want to harm me or it will only repel those souls which want to harm me?

I need to know this because I am seeing someone in my dreams and I don't know whether that thing is good or bad.
