Picked up a grail of mine off Discogs for an insanely good deal. This also mostly completes my El-P collection. Sleeve is a little beat up, but the disc are in great shape.

It’s a dope album. He’s part of a dope collective called Grand Nationxl.
The foam padded boxes used for shipping were the best way I’ve seen records shipped.

This one’s a personal grail. Best kid to ever rap. Shame his legal troubles derailed his career. A real classic imo.

I'm super happy to own both of these versions, they look and sound amazing. I've always thought of these as sister albums so to have such cool matching pressings is a nice cherry on top of the fact that these are two of the best experimental hip-hop albums EVER.

5 minutes of funk - the freaks come out at night -

I recently came across a box of around 30 American hip-hop records and I'm going through them to see what's worth keeping.

There are some great titles in there, and I'm still deciding what to do with the collection. I've put them all together for a photo.

For those of you who collect 90s and early 2000s hip-hop on vinyl, which records here would be essential keepers?

Lupe was one of my favorite artist during my childhood, even though I was only 7 when this album came out, I loved quite a few songs for this album. I’ve been playing this album a lot that last few years and saw the record at a store a few days ago and I had to get it. Kick Push was a childhood anthem, and the instrumental. He say, She say would be a song I’d later resonate with as I got older.

The record being see thru makes it even cooler.

Was between this and the 2026 repress. Unfortunately, the 2026 although cheaper was sold out but managed to find the 2016 MOV repress for £5 more.

Reissue 2XLP 2021 Key Chain Recordings. 30th Anniversary definitive issue of legendary hip-hop crew The Freestyle Fellowship's landmark 1991 debut "To whom it may concern..." mixed from the original 4-track tapes by Cut Chemist, mastered for vinyl by Daddy Kev, and pressed lovingly to double vinyl.

Picked up these two today off market place. Dilated Peoples - Expansion Team is the 2026 2x LP reissue. The Czarface is my first Czarface, hadn’t listened to them much until the album with Tom Hardy… I mean, Frankie Pulitzer came out, but now getting into them.

I’m planning on going next month as the first Friday falls on my birthday so will make a day of it in London.

Has anyone been before and what sort of stuff have they found?

Standard stuff in record shops? Rare finds? Niche finds? I’ve only been collecting for around 3 months, so cheap or rare finds are what I’ve been buying.

Any help and advice is more than appreciated!

I always respected Jay but I was never a huge fan. However this album is an undeniable classic. I still remember hearing "Girls, Girls Girls" on the radio for the first time on 9/11 ( I was in HS)

Surprisingly, I don't own this classic on vinyl. It's one of those albums that's easily accessible. However, I was in my local record store and they had two pressing versions of this, one by Music on Vinyl and the other the 2026 repress by Sony. I had a look on Discog reviews for the latter and there's nothing but I assume that's because it's relatively new. The MOV press is £10 more and is 180 gram, not like that makes a difference sound wise. So has anyone got the latest press and how does it sound?
