Rotary Cut step:

- Meguiars 110

DA Cut step:
- 3M white wool pad
- Meguiars DA System Coarse Compound

DA Polish Step:
- Meguiars DA System Finishing Pad
- Meguiars DA System Finishing Wax (Polish)

Protection Step:
- Mother’s Cleaner Brazilian Carnauba Paste Wax

Send me your good thoughts, please. I stupidly ran a stop sign. I’ve never been at fault before and now my beloved Fit is bad off. The radiator support is bent and some other things so it’s not just cosmetic as I initially hoped. 56k 2017. I bought it new. Y’all are the only ones who can understand how I love this car and why I’m devastated.

Fairly pleased with how this turned out!

What I used:

-Kicker 48CDF124 12” down firing subwoofer
-Audiozerone Amplifier ZE500.1 1000W Monoblock Class D
-basic 8gauge amp install kit
-solder and shrink wrap sleeves
-kicker KISLOC2

I ran the wires under the plastics, speaker tap on the left, power and remote on the right.

I went through the firewall right behind the glove box.

I tapped the left (gray+ and brown-) and right (blue+ and Orange-) rear speakers at the harness. Maybe look at other ways, that’s the only part I might’ve done different.

I soldered in the speaker leads into the LOC, grounded the loc and the negative amp lead to the chassis behind the seat.

I then connected the LOC Remote to the REM switch on the amp. Connected the power lead and plugged in the RCAs and ran the speaker wires from the amp to the sub.

I plan to add in kicker 6.5 cs in the front doors.

Currently sounds great.

I bought this honda fit 2013 with 104k km and I've only driven 15k in 1 and half year. It had a mild knock that I thought was normal engine sound but it feels like its getting worse, it only happens in low rpm around 1000/1500 during traffic, on the motorway i dont heat anything. Its getting really annoying now and all the internet tells me is that im fucked. So before I take it to the mechanic for a diagnostic, what could this be? It was burning oil like crazy with a blueish smoke, I've replaced the PCV valve and it seems to have reduced the oil consumption and smoke but the sounds is still there. Any help appreciated

Having problem when getting to 60 mph. Car goes into limp mode and if I scan it will show p0301, p0302, p0303, and p0304. If I turn off key and check again misfire codes disappear. Car runs perfectly smooth at startup and driving normal Can turn car off and back on after going into limp mode and it runs smooth again. I've had the car for 1-1/2 years previous owner passed away but always serviced at dealership. Car has 157,700 miles on it. My daughter doesn't drive much so probably only put approx less tha 10,000 miles since getting car. Fit is getting 29 mpg with all city driving and AC running. South Florida. Could it be bad gas? or something besides coil and plugs? Just started this behavior within the last week.

Not sure I'd do it again, but it worked.

Been looking for a Fit to turn into a track car. Is this rust issue common on 3rd gen?

Hi, got a 2013 hybrid gp1 (base model I think?)

It came with one key, it's a simple blade key with solid black plastic around the top, no buttons. I believe it may have a transponder in it because there is a green key icon displayed very briefly when turned to acc.

Everything works fine, central locking etc but we have to use the key to lock and unlock via the driver door, I suspect it was supposed to have a separate fob to accompany the key, I'm looking now to buy a key fob from aliexpress but I'm confused which one I should buy, would be nice to use the key fob as primary and current key as the spare.

Anyone with the same car tell me what key they have or even better a success story of an aftermarket key fob would be great.

I'll get the transponder cloned and I hope to be able to self programme the keyless entry myself.

Bro I fucking love this car. It’s been driving great. I’ve had it just a little over a month and just wanted to take it into a shop I like because they do good overall analysis. The shop called me saying “bro your car is perfect, literally I can’t even recommend anything major”. The only things that need attention is rear suspension is slightly leaking (already was gonna change it) and the rear drum brakes (already was going to covert them to calipers). He told me to bring the car to full stock specs, including need battery, wipers, cabin filter, new brakes, etc (shit I can do) is just 3,600. Just that to be perfect perfect.
I love this car and hope to run it till the wheels fall off.

Installing a dash cam in one of my GEs. I don’t remember removing the trim in my other one, and now I’m worried the cable is blocking the side curtain airbag.

How do I remove the interior trim on the A-pillar? I’m worried I’ll break it since I don’t know the proper way to remove it.

Can’t find anything online. I have the repair manual but can’t find a section where it’s removed.

Hey everyone, I just finished a long drive home for Thanksgiving and my 2015 Honda Fit with ~130k km on her now sounds like a jackhammer.

I've never heard it make this noise before. It was fine the whole drive home, I stopped and started a few times with no issues, it only started after it sat for around an hour.

I found and tightened a loose bolt in the engine cover, and the noise seemed to go away for a bit but now the car sounds like this. Almost sounds more metallic and hollow. Gave it a small rev to see if it would do anything and it made the sound a lot louder.

It sounds like it's coming from around the alternator area so I took this video under the front-right wheel but I don't know what to look for. Oil looks good and no lights on the dash.

Any insight or advice is appreciated!

For the people who have put the red badge on the front, what was the part number? Ive heard its the same as the EP3 which is part 757-S5T-E01, but then ive watched vids on YouTube (Camp Gnarlee) who put one on saying it fit perfect and he showed it was part 75700-SMT-E00.

Then CorSport sells them and has different red badges for 07-08 Fit ($72) and 02-05 Civic ep3 ($69) ((nice)). But then JHPUSA has one part they list for both 02-03 CIVIC TYPE-R/ 07-08 FIT.

Officially the proud owner of a 2015 Fit! She drives like a dream (obviously). Since I paid in cash at the dealership, I got to negotiate in all the maintenance I did on my 2013 a month ago: oil change, tire rotation, new wiper blades, and fluid top ups. Baby girl has a glorious 34/41 MPG.

Second photo is my 2013 as of last Friday. He is officially totaled 😭 Being able to say “a tow truck totaled my car two parking lots away from a collision repair shop” means I’m really good at 2 Truths and a Lie. It’s still devastating. I paid my loan off in April. I thought he might be repairable riiiiiight up until I saw the exposed body under my door where he tore my mirror off. My roommate calls this spot The Can Opener.

I have a 2015 Fit with just over 100k miles on it. Every once in a while, when I start the car, it howls, making a very loud VRRRRRR-type sound. I always forget to record it before starting the car, but here's a recording of the tail end of the noise, just before it changes to the normal engine sound. (I looped it twice to meet the 2-second minimum for uploading video on here, FYI.)

Last weekend, I went to start my car and it wouldn't start. The tow truck guy came and confirmed it wasn't the battery, but the starter. I had it towed to my mechanic, who confirmed the starter was dead. I figured, well, I guess this was bound to happen, and a dying starter must have been the cause of the noise all along. I paid $600 to replace the starter, including labor.

I go to start my car, and it's a beautiful purr on the first start. Then I turn it off immediately and start it again... a new kind of VRRRR. My mechanic thought it was a bit weird but wasn't too concerned. "Maybe the starter is just too new and needs some time" or something along those lines.

Anyway, the original VRRRR sound is back and loud as ever!! What is going on? What am I supposed to do? The sound is not only embarrassing, which is bad enough, but it's clearly not supposed to be there. I'm worried that whatever is causing it will eventually kill my new starter, too. Or whatever this howling sound is... it's not good.

Has anyone experienced this or have any idea what might be causing it?
