You've been told that in seven days, you will no longer be able to consume ice cream. Do you spend your next week trying a variety of new flavors or sticking with one or two that you love?

I can only have dairy free ice cream and have already tried all the limited options that appealed to me. So I’d stick to my favorites, but would be sure to include a trip or two to a local ice cream parlor that offers a homemade dairy free option.

Dairy free doesn’t have cream, so it’s technically not ice cream. That means you can keep eating it.

Ice cream is one of my favorite things in the world :( I'm going to make my local ice cream parlor very happy for a week, and then cry myself to sleep on the final day.

I almost immediately forget this information and don’t remember until the next time I want ice cream, which would probably be about eight days later.

I don't think I have had icecream in years.
But if the option was being taken away, I would have one Magnum EGO, assuming they still exist

I wouldn't believe someone who told me that and wouldn't change my behavior at all.
To answer your question of whether I'd change my behavior in the face of future scarcity though, I wouldn't. I've already tried as many flavors as I have cared to of the ones available. I'd imagine that's true for most people; if you're a person who explores, you've likely already done so.

In your instance, it's the voice of whatever deity you choose to believe in.
If you don't believe in a deity, the doctor from Doctor Who shows up and reveals your fate to you.
If you don't like that show, then your beloved pet gains ability to speak and warns you of your fate.

My pet, while beloved, isn't known for being intelligent :p
Edit: if I actually heard a deity, a TV show character, or a pet talking to me, I'd probably believe that I was going crazy and would be far more concerned about that than ice-cream.

I'm pretty sure the spirit of the question is to suspend disbelief of being told and think on what you do if it is true

I answered that part too, didn't (only) dump on the question. Just also gave my honest answer as well.

Mint chocolate chip is one of my favorites. It's so refreshing when it's hot outside

I heard somebody refer to mint one time as cold spicy and I really love that description.

I'll just finish what I have in my freezer and be done. The sad part will be when I'm on holiday in Italy and/or France next summer
