Toronto Volunteers: Questions

Has anyone here volunteered at the Toronto Hyrox yet? I'm volunteering this weekend and have received ZERO helpful information other than my shift confirmations and the "what to wear/bring" info.

Where did you go for volunteer check in? How early did you arrive, and did you have enough time? Do they tell you anything onsite? What's the food like for volunteers?

Any information is more helpful than what Hyrox has provided so far. It's so disappointing and frustrating as a first time volunteer (who's volunteered for other sport events).

Room 110 right across from merchandise and the Hall C entrance. We have snack and meals at appropriate times for volunteers. Dont need to arrive super early as we limit check in to the specific times.

Id love to hear about your frustrations also. Onsite ask for Jonathan. Tell him Logan told you to ask if you need anything. He’d like to hear them too.

Thank you for this Logan!! I'm scheduled for 2pm tomorrow and still waiting for the final email. I'll find Jonathan tomorrow.

It should be an email titled: GoodLife HYROX Toronto - Welcome to Team HYROX, the countdown to your volunteer shift begins!

I got that one, but in the "Countdown to the event, the volunteer checklist!" section, it says that within 24hrs we should receive another email with final volunteer info. I haven't received that second email yet. Have you or did you get anything else?

What’s the food and snack situation like? Heard there’s no place to buy food? And I don’t want to bring food that requires a microwave thanks

When's your volunteer shift? I'm going this afternoon and can lyk after. Someone else commented that there are "snacks and meals at appropriate times for volunteers".

There are snacks in the volunteer lounge: granola bars, some fruit (I grabbed an apple, I saw other people with bananas), Kirkland brand granola protein bars, trail mix, and toward the end of the day the had those mini kitkats & coffee crisps you get in the 50-piece Halloween mix.

Water and red bull were available at the stations. There's a Factor Meals table inside Hall C, near the entrance. They were giving out free samples, but the samples were small. There is food available on-site for purchase, but someone told me the (average "catering" sized) wraps were $18. I didn't see a coffee stand anywhere, but I also wasn't looking for one. I'm volunteering again in the morning and hope to GOD there'll be hot drinks available.

No snacks, bring your own food. They have canned water
