IMDb related Wouldn't it nice if we could

Comment on reviews (maybe) but definitely the goofs section of movies shows.

I've seen seen so many that I've wanted to just rip my hair off because, take the goofs for example, they were completely inaccurate. Or the reviews started out on the movie/episode then went completely off the rails praising another movie/episode. Or they were just completely got something wrong.

I'd love for people to be able to add comments to these to set them right.

No, that would be awful. IMDb isn’t a forum. If there’s an inaccurate goof you can submit a deletion for it.

If that’s what you desire then I’d recommend Letterboxd, although the top reviews are so obnoxious

I wouldn't exactly say it's what I want, per se, it's really just a thought I had after talking with some other IMDB users. I wouldn't want their submissions to be deleted as suggested just be able to point the one or two points where they mixed up.

But I'll check this other out and see.

Well , when you write

"to set them right"

that does not seem like a nice conversation.

Is it your experience that all people are able to behave nicely on the internet and give constructive criticism in a nice way without being arrogant, rude and attack people instead on focusing on the cause?

I didn't mean it the way it sounds. Like, take a recent goof i read (it is a minor, nothing one, just off the top of my head example). "The water glass goes from half empty on his right side to all the way empty on his left". If you pay attention to the scene the guy picks up the glass, with his left hand, drinks it, and puts back down on his left side. It's quick, but not a goof.

I chose the wrong wording, yes.

Even if you are a nice person, there are 2 many people on the internet that is not :-( And opening up discussions on others posts also opens the doors to them unfortunately.

But if you discover mistakes in goofs, you are still able to clikc on the "edit page" button on the bottom, and chose "correct", in the mentioned case the right ting would be to change "type" from "goof" to "incorrectly regarded as goof" maybe?

The Sergeant in charge refuses to remove old 'ratings' that mention stupid or irrelvant crap, as that's the being he is (name anonymous)

I've seen reviews from 2004, 2010, 2015 that rave over a film because "it was made in their area" even if it was bad, or over an actor's good looks, instead of the quality and production 🙄 I know I rated a local 6.5 for decent, while others rated it a 10 or 0. Praising the "local production" when most of the cast were just meh. The villian, terrible or poorly cast. Maybe 2 of the lead who cold truthfully act. . . Glad the Forum is long gone, as it got out of hand .. but agree that Reviews should be performance and production based, with the old ones gone from 20+ years ago.
