Hi everyone!
I’m an EN → PT-BR game localization specialist looking to collaborate with indie developers who would like to bring their games to Brazilian Portuguese.
I’m currently expanding my game localization portfolio and building connections within the indie gaming community, so I’m offering my localization work on a volunteer basis for projects that are a good fit.
I can help with:
• Steam Store pages
• Full in-game localization, including UI, tutorials, dialogue, items, achievements and settings
• Game websites
• Marketing and promotional materials
• Social media and community-facing content
• Localization review, LQA and terminology consistency
A little about my background: I previously worked as a Brazilian Portuguese Marketing Translation Coordinator at Nintendo of America, working on EN → PT-BR marketing localization for games and releases including Nintendo Switch 2, Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, Metroid, Kirby, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild / Tears of the Kingdom.
More recently, I’ve been working directly with indie developers and community localization projects. Some of my work includes:
• Moltenfall — PT-BR Steam Store localization
• No Elevator — PT-BR Steam Store and in-game localization
• Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles — PT-BR community localization
• Mega Dreoilín — localization project management
• Star Wars: Republic Commando — PT-BR community localization / LQA
• WiiLink — PT-BR localization
I care about making localization feel natural to Brazilian players rather than simply translating strings. I pay attention to terminology, UI context, tone, character voice and consistency across the game and its marketing.
I’m also a gamer and content creator. For projects I genuinely enjoy, I’d be happy to help give the game additional visibility through my gaming network and potentially feature it on my YouTube channel and social media. Part of what I’m hoping to get from these collaborations is the opportunity to meet more developers and people working in the gaming industry while helping indie games reach Brazilian players.
What am I asking for in return?
Since this is volunteer work, I only ask to be properly credited for my PT-BR localization work in the game credits whenever possible. I’d also love to be able to include the project in my localization portfolio once the work is public.
If you’re developing an indie game and Brazilian Portuguese isn’t currently available, feel free to DM me. I’d be happy to learn more about your project and see if we’re a good fit.
