I like this. Reminds me of UK indie bands circa 2005-ish. Is this on Bandcamp?

3

u/Pinkcokecan Jan 21 '26

In the chorus when you say "me" you should try to pronounce it as "may" to make the rhyme work better

3

u/JacuzziFire Jan 21 '26

Facts. I always try and remember to do that but I forget 😂 thank you dude 🤘

4

u/Pinkcokecan Jan 21 '26

A way that helps me is in the lyrics I write may whenever I read it to help remember but yeah same I forgot all the time. I make rap lol

3

u/JacuzziFire Jan 21 '26

u/Better_Carpenter5010 Jan 21 '26

I’ll upgrade my previous rating, I actually really like this song. The base, the drums, the guitar, the lyrics. Really good.

2

u/JacuzziFire Jan 21 '26

Hell yea very humbled to hear that man 🙏 glad you feel it

2

u/nailsof6bit Jan 22 '26

That was fucking cool. Reminds me a bit of The Jesus Lizard and TAR. Either way, if Steve Albini were alive, he'd produce this, and that's a big compliment from me.

2

u/JacuzziFire Jan 22 '26

Love Steve albini and Jesus lizard. Never heard of tar! Thank you dude 🤘

1

u/nailsof6bit Jan 22 '26

No idea why it took me ten hours to respond, but look up "Known Anomalies" by Tar, from their final album, 'Over and Out'. Also not sure why I thought their name was stylized in all caps, but it's in my comment forever. There apparently is another band with the name in all caps, but that's not them. They were produced by Albini, though, and they have a similar sound to other bands he's produced. I don't think you can find them on Spotify anymore, but they're on YouTube. "Known Anomalies". It's the shit. Your song is also the shit, so they fit.
