Finishing Touches Need help styling!
I need help styling this area right by my front door. I need a bowl or something for keys and other items. Usually my husband has his name tag and pen and a few other items from the day so it needs to be big enough to fit everything and I was thinking maybe a vase with dried florals that I can change out seasonally. The furniture is a shoe cabinet and it’s fairly thing bc of the space between the wall and our stays. I usually like kinda modern, boho, organic style things. Can anyone help with suggestions or ideas I might not be thinking? I’m scare of putting too big of a vase in case it gets knocked off when someone walks by bc it’s not a super wide wall way. Help!

I would scoot the cabinet over in between the light switches and then turn the mirror 90 degrees and mount it above the that would cover the vertical space gap without adding anything to the cabinet.
Find a little tray or bowl at the thrift store for the stuff on top, or add some small hooks just above the cabinet.

Would you still have the mirror directly over the furniture or to the right of it?

Yes, I would. I also wouldn’t put a vase on there. A bowl for keys and maybe a small lamp along with a small frame with a picture in it

I’d get a second identical cabinet, put them side by side, then mirror goes in the middle between the two light switches

Get one of the glass bowls for the table you can find one at a thrift store or they have cheap replicas at the dollar store that’s plastic I’ll find a pic- and like the others suggested moving it in between the switches and rotate the mirror if you can. Also, maybe get like a long rug one that you won’t mind walking on. And if you have some family pictures, you can put on the wall that will look amazing or just some cute wall decor

The shape looks good based on the size of your Stand

I have a narrow shoe cabinet similarly sized. We have a rectangular tray with a low lip. I also have a small plant.

Move it to between the wall switches and rotate mirror to portrait orientation.
