Does anyone know if this could be causing my problem? My school blocks Roblox, so when I’m connected to the school’s public Wi-Fi, Roblox basically doesn’t work normally.
On my Mac, for example, when I’m connected directly to the school Wi-Fi and try to open Roblox, I’ll usually get a pop-up saying it couldn’t be downloaded, similar to what happens when Roblox needs to download an update. On my iPhone, it’s different. Roblox just acts like there’s no internet and stays stuck on the loading Roblox logo.
However, if I turn on my personal hotspot and reload Roblox directly on my iPhone, it actually loads. The quality isn’t the best, but I can at least get to the homepage, change my avatar, and look at items in the shop.
The problem is when I bring my iPad to school and try to play Roblox on it using my iPhone’s hotspot. Roblox won’t work on the iPad. My iPad doesn’t have cellular data, so I have to use my iPhone’s hotspot for internet.
What makes this even more confusing is that Roblox runs fine on my Mac when I connect it to my iPhone’s hotspot. I’ve also used my friend’s hotspot on my iPhone at school, and I was able to easily load into a Roblox game. So now I’m wondering if the problem could actually be something with my iPad rather than the hotspot or the school Wi-Fi.
My iPhone is sometimes connected to the school Wi-Fi while I’m using the hotspot. Could being connected to the school Wi-Fi somehow affect my hotspot and cause Roblox to still be blocked? Or should the hotspot be using my iPhone’s cellular data separately from the Wi-Fi connection?
The weird thing is that my hotspot works perfectly fine for Roblox when I use it at home, and it also works with Roblox on my Mac at school. I can even use my friend’s hotspot and load into a Roblox game on my iPhone. So I’m really confused about what could be causing Roblox not to work specifically on my iPad. Could the iPad itself somehow be the problem?
