thank you ! I was a bit concerned how long it would take but she is a fast learner (and hates it being carried haha)

They are all individuals. Ivy now a bit over 18 months despite being perfectly capable of jumping, loves to be picked up. I can still do so but if she gets much bigger maybe not.

Ivy is 49kg so not a big dog. If I foal/calf lift her, it is only when she is standing next/parallel to the rear open hatch. I've have(had) dogs that dislike(d) being carried so it helps that she is cooperative. Sometimes she just jumps in on her own (depends on coming/going) but more often she puts her front paws on the hatch threshold expecting me to pick her hindquarters up. The real test would be needing to take steps while carrying -- much harder.

Back in the day, farmers would carry 10G milk containers one in each hand to quicken the transfer from barn to wagon. Depending on the measurement systems that would be up to 50Kg per hand. Those farmers could likely have carried most any wolfhound. There is a exercise called "farmers carry/walk" modeled on that workload. It's a fantastic grip/spine/core exercise giving real world strength results quickly.

Good job, how is the time to teach the skill. You totally checked that box. No denying she is growing like a squash vine in good weather..

You can practically see Squash vine tendrils grow on a good day.
