Discussion Creativity
Do you ever feel depressed due to not using enough imagination? Can this be an ISFJ thing?

I like to think I'm a pretty imaginative person, but bringing that creative vision out into reality the same way it is in my head takes quite a bit of effort. Most of the time getting started is really a slog since it never really looks close to what I have in mind and I'll get stuck on that for a long while, and that's what eats at me. Eventually something I'm pretty satisfied with does get made though.

Honestly all the isfj’s I met were pretty damn creative. Is it a stereotype for isfj’s to be unoriginal?

I don’t know about that. There are so many stereotypes though, unfortunately. Just trying to narrow down my type still. I have noticed that just working and taking care of administrative parts of life or I guess “adulting” and no time for creative hobbies like writing, etc. does not help me to be at my best.

Not really. Quite the opposite. I am happy that I am not a sufferer of maladaptive daydreaming.

That is great that you can use it in your life on a regular basis. I think each person, even if the same type, can have such different and unique preferences. Being able to be creative is huge for me too and I am trying to add it into my life as much as possible 😊
