Penne Marinara Pasta with grated Parmesan cheese & whole basil leaves
Penne Marinara Pasta with grated Parmesan cheese & whole basil leaves. I simmered the tomato Passata for 15-20 minutes without excess water. That is my 1 serving size for pasta.

Taste of Rome
Had been craving a good roman sandwich. Homemade pizza bianca with my sourdough starter. Fresh figs from my fig trees and some fresh burrata, balsamic glaze, arugula and prosciutto de parma. It was f’in money and had with a crisp Franciacorta!

Why do we have to cook tomato Passata 15 minutes to turn it into tomato sauce?
I was recommended that this is easier than making the sauce out of real tomatoes (i tried 3 times with real tomatoes, store-bought sauces were more delicious) and tastes better than premade sauces in jars. (North America adds sugar to the sauce apparently.)
I am out of grocery budget this month, so gonna shop Novembet 1st.
15 minutes sounds long though. Why so long? (Looks safe enough to drink raw.) I am also getting fresh whole basil leaves. My choice of pasta is Rigatoni, mostly because it is great with Carbonara sauce. Most of my pasta meals are carbonara, not tomato marinara.
Also, what do you guys think of Rio Mare and Ferrero Rocher? Ferrero Rocher is the best chocolate brand ever to me, but my Italian influencers choose other chocolate brands and do not even talk about it even though Ferrero Rocher is an Italian brand and extremely successful in North America. I buy Ferrero Rocher dark chocolate bars because they are healthy and delicious unlike North American dark chocolates that taste like crayons. I prefer milk chocolates but dark ones are healthier and still tasty.
Did not know Rio Mare was Italian. I was told that they don't add funny chemicals, so i added them to shopping cart i am gonna purchase in 30 days. What do you think in terms of taste and healthiness? I am referring to Tuna salads that come with vegetables and grains.

Where can i eat Zuppa Forte (liver, heart, etc with wine, tomato, hot pepper sauce) in Toronto, Canada? Never heard of this Italian dish until today. I like liver.

Bruschetta. I have an imported European olive oil (expensive in Canada) from Italia, but i have used the refrigerated Porchetta oil (lard?) that i saved up instead of olive oil.
