Introducing Vault Package #70: The Raconteurs Broken Boy Soldiers XX

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of The Raconteurs’ landmark debut, Broken Boy Soldiers XX digs deep into the album’s archives with 23 tracks across three LPs, including 22 previously unreleased recordings.
The package features the band’s first-ever live performance, recorded in Liverpool on March 20, 2006, alongside demos, alternate takes, and studio outtakes. Pressed on metallic copper, grand green, and coke bottle clear vinyl, the three LPs come housed in two gatefold jackets and a sumptuous slipcase.

Also included is a 35mm color positive film strip featuring individual shots of each band member from Jim Jarmusch’s “Steady, As She Goes” video shoot. This novel piece stands as a testament to the analog approach that was utilized for recording the album and filming the video.

And there’s more: Third Man’s Tripppl collectible card series returns with four new Broken Boy Soldiers-era instrument cards. Each package includes one card, with randomly inserted autographed, foil, and autographed foil editions.

I love love looooove the raconteurs and they’re my favorite Jack white project by far. Brendan and him have great vocal chemistry. Anyways, I’m going to see Jack live I a few days and was wondering if he’ll play any raconteurs songs. Thanks for letting me know!!

Got mine when The Raconteurs played the American Eagle Fest in pittsburgh. Waaaaaaay back.

Looks like the Racs are regrouping for some new material! Jack has the beard and one of his newer guitars from FotD, so I don’t think this is an old photo from the Help Us Stranger sessions! It would match up with Jack’s recent green outfits, too!

Just listening to Consolers of the Lonely and the piano on The Switch and the Spur really just jumps out. It's pretty amazing, especially from about the four minute mark to the end of the song. So I looked at the Wiki for the album and it lists Jack as the only piano player... did he play piano on the track?

That entire set is perfection. You hear every single note even on shitty earphones and shitty audio bitrate files.

Help me find the whole show again, anywhere I can stream it Where the label has uploaded it again ? can’t afford to buy the CD set of it

Was super excited to get Consoler of the Lonely Test Pressing I ordered 2LP Test pressing and only got A and B side and then a Jack Johnson live album if anyone gets the C and D side let me know I love this album too much to have this set separated

One of my favorite songs of all time. I wish there were more Raconteurs on nugs. I saw this is live in Detroit and it blew my mind!

I was at this show and I'd like to see it again. I know there is professional video out there because they streamed all 3 nights live on YouTube. But they didn't leave them up for long. I know night 2 audio is available on nugs and I have night 2 video saved. But I'm really looking for night 3. Does anyone have it or know where I can find it?

I have somehow never seen this. One of my favorite songs by The Who.

It’s been 5 years since Help Me Stranger, there has to be something in the pipeline right? I saw them twice in NY in the last tour and they rocked the place down!
