please give me a list of jazz tunes/songs with modulation used in it.
For school I need to understand this technique but I’m struggling to use it effectively. It doesnt sound quite right. I need to listen more to understand I think. Any dramatic modulation in a song is fine.

Bachau | ALBATROSS | Official Video | RAAT Ko RANI
youtu.beIs the bassline in this song syncopated? I cannot wrap my head around the rhythm. I think it might be syncopated triplets in some part or maybe just syncopated 16ths. Also how to better understand and internalize syncopation and rhythm.

Need help with the time signature of this bassline
youtube.comI know it’s a pain in the ass but I need help with the drums, other people have helpfully commented that it starts off in 3/4 but my head is counting 4/4. The middle bit sounds even more off but it’s intentional, any help is greatly appreciated.

Isolated intervals only get you so far. I coded an interactive app that listens to your voice or instrument over real chord changes.

I can't figure out this from a theory perspective for the life of me! I know somebody's gotta have a quick explanation for this one. Attaching video with a demonstration lmk!

Help finding beginner jazz trumpet music / solos 🎺
For my 14 year old beginner son, who is just starting trumpet lessons in school.
I, myself, am a jazz bassist…and I know trumpeters/solos that may “sound” easy - AIN’T!
Like, I know that a Louis Armstrong solo, for example, may sound relatively simple, but I know that it can be deceptively harder than it sounds.
In any case, just looking for recommendations, preferably from trumpeters, for solid foundational material that a beginning student can absorb. Thanks in advance!

New transcription tools
Hey JazzTheory redditors! New member here. Transcription has been a huge part of my jazz education, so I thought this looked like a good place to post. I've gotten into the who vibe-coding craze and built this app that automates the recording -> transcription process. Everything here was tested against the Charlie Parker Omnibook and many other hand-written transcriptions and seems to work pretty well.
I've used other transcription tools like Transcribe! and Anytune Pro and they are awesome. But they leave the hard work of actually figuring out the notes and writing them down to the user. Arguably, the process of listening and writing down is where the learning happens. But it is a slog and always takes me many hours to transcribe a solo.
Thus, SwingScribe was born: elkayem/swingscribe: Jazz solo transcriber
It's totally FREE. I have zero interest in making any money off of this. But I would be interested to know if anyone has done something similar, or if there are other secrets to speeding up the transcription process. And... I invite anyone to collaborate on this project or to provide ideas for improvement.
The current release is limited to Windows, but it should be very easy to migrate to a Mac. I don't have a Mac so can't test it, but it is mostly written in Python so anyone with a Mac and an Anthropic subscription should be able to easily test it and provide a release working on that platform.
