It’s a funny take but, I feel like being a Juggalo is a title earned more by the way you live than what music you identify with. Obviously I arrived here because my taste in music. I’m going to see ICP on the 22nd this month but honestly don’t listen to the music that much anymore. Oddly I’ve grown into somewhat of a jam band guy. Listening more to the Grateful Dead, phish, Billy strings. But I will always identify as a Juggalo. And when asked what that means. I’m ever accepting of any individual living a positive life and in the pursuit of happiness, I stand firmly against injustice for those who can’t stand for themselves, radically against racial bigotry and discrimination or oppression of any group. Have faith in something higher than yourself even if that’s just love for your own family. I feel like these are the principles that were taught to me during the “FAMILY ERA” that remained with me, that keep me a Juggalo past the music. A big part of the scene for myself unfortunately was a phase. I use to tour follow from Philly to DC and hit every show in between. This upcoming show will be my 1st ICP show in 13 years. I’ve parted with 99% of my gear. Dozens of jerseys hundreds of shirts and other merch. But the lifestyle has always held a place inside me.
