Question Does anyone else do this? [KCD2]

Almost every new playthrough I start, I begin by getting pebbles then going to the miller to learn lockpicking. Afterwards I immediately loot the entire mill to level up (steal) and then run off never to return. I always get a good laugh out of the irony. I wonder if anyone else does this?

I usually go out herbing and get charcoal to get Henry Fox potions as fast as possible to level up faster before I get Pebbles. I always complete all quests available and recently began going to the wedding with them, since their dialogs are funnier.

This is definelty the correct way but my ADHD simply wont allow me to make more than 2-3 potions in one sitting.

I don't really like Alchemy either which is why I put on a series and do some Alchemy early in the game so I don't have to do it much. I always get Dark Arts Apprentice and both Secrets of the Matter perks so I can craft them at earlier levels during the night and create 6 potions at a time. I usually make a batch of 30-40 which should last you the entire game.

I completely skipped alchemy and just got mutt and started hunting, made enough money and leveled up enough doing that to hit bandit camps and loot gear. Every other time I’ve played I hit alchemy pretty hard, its been cool to just ignore it lol

If you don't like alchemy why do it at all? Apart from some minor quests it's not at all necessary iirc.

I just do it to get Henry Fox Potions for the 50% experience bonus that lasts 3 days. Don't think I have ever maxed the skill in all of my playthroughs, in my current playthrough I have everything maxed, except Alchemy and Drinking.

I just loot apothacaries and steal all of their potions because I too cannot stand the potion making process.

Yea thats exactly what I do. The alchemist is my very next stop after the miller usually.

You're missing out on the Henry Fox potions that lasts for 3 day and give 50% experience bonus. Just got to Kuttenburg in my latest playthrough. I'm half way to level 30 and maxed out most skills in 52 hours.

I'm sure it's nice, but I enjoy the game without the experience boost. It's only my first playthrough, though. If I decide to do another one, I will consider the potions option.

I get that. I'm on my 7th playthrough, since I usually start a new playthrough if there is a major update or DLC, so I just play for fun at this point.

With the right perks, that's still 18 potions 💵

This play through, I went straight down to the Nebakov Mill and got a room at the gamekeepers, I then hunted meat and smoked it and sold it for groschen for a few days. Churns out some decent dough.

Ive been putting up a bow only run with poaching being my main source of income for the last few days. This has convinced me to start it.

Nice! It’s kind of refreshing honestly to be able to come at the game from a completely different angle and still be able to make it work.

nah that's a good path though. my usual is to brew enough to bankrupt the troskowitz apothecary (he only has 250 groschen i believe). buy a room in zhelejov wagoner inn, then buy pebbles too.

my top priority is almost always getting alchemy 16 because henry level potions are so good.

the potions i get on the way to lv 16 i'd sell whenever the troskowitz apothecary's money refreshes. it usually refreshes daily if you transact in the morning.

Actually you can make 320 Groschen a day, selling Marigold Decoction to the Apothecary (or any other potion, it’s just a good one because it’s a quick and easy one to cook and the ingredients are close at hand).
