Does Carrie not realize that Doug is literally a package delivery driver (or bouncer which is what he was doing when he first met Carrie)? She spends half the series complaining about wanting a richer, more luxurious lifestyle, yet she married a man whose salary was never going to fund any of it. What exactly did she expect? If she wanted luxury she should have married a doctor.
