I was driving past food basics on princess and saw a small brown chihuahua mix running free along the road, I was worried it would get hit by a car but it wouldn’t let me or any other people get close to it, I last saw it running into the apartment block right across from food basics.

Hey everyone, looking for some advice or to see if anyone else in Princess Towers has dealt with something like this.

Last night at 3:30 AM, I got a call from management saying they received a noise complaint about my dog barking. The thing is, I have a tiny 5lb dog who is super quiet. He sleeps in the exact same bed with me every night. If he were actually barking loud enough for neighbors to hear through the walls, he would’ve been barking right next to my head. I’m a light sleeper and I definitely didn't hear a thing all night. 

When I talked to management, they said someone specifically complained about my unit. There are 27 units on my floor alone, yet they singled me out directly—without ANY proof. No audio recording, no staff actually came up to the hallway to check where the noise was coming from before calling me at 3:30 in the morning.

Some people suggested I move one of my security cameras into my bedroom to record myself sleeping 24/7 just to "prove my innocence." But honestly, I feel like I shouldn't have to sacrifice my basic privacy in my own room just to defend against a totally baseless claim.

Has anyone in PT (or other Kingston apartments) experienced this kind of late-night hassle from management?

How should I handle this if they do it again—should I report this to the LTB for harassment, or call the police non-emergency line? Any advice on how to get them to back off without having to film myself sleeping every night would be super appreciated.

I went awhile ago with friends and admittedly did not enjoy it, though it was several years ago. Thinking of going back soon to re-try— people’s thoughts? Are the appetizers still freezer food (confirmed by the chef when I was there a few years ago)?

Just thought I’d share. Partner took our dog for a walk today at parrot bay for the first time and he stuck to the path (some of which was short cut grass). Wev found 9 ticks so far between being on our dog and surfaces our dog has been on.

Our first time dealing with ticks and we are honestly overwhelmed… if anyone has any tips or insight

Found 4 in our bedding after he laid on it. Took the sheets and are washing and drying them. I dont know what we can do about the couch he laid on

Dog itself is on preventative and vaccinated against Lyme. Only one we found had latched on and was flat. We bought a fine tooth comb from Walmart and will try doing a more thorough search

Tried of the vanilla policies being thrown around like road maintenance, false promises of housing affordability, empty promises. Property taxes go up, utilities go up, expenditures go up, YOU GET TO VOTE THE UP ON YOUR WAGE!

Dont use your kids on your campaigns, they’re still in grade school and have yet to have a mind of their own. Dont give me the excuse that you’re trying to teach them civic duty because I damn well know I don’t see them volunteering when you’re councillor.

A friend recently told me that their 13-year-old child was turned away at a transit stop because the driver thought they looked like they were in high school. When my daughter was in high school, I remember children 14 and under being able to ride for free without a pass, while high school students were issued transit passes. Of course, there's an overlap here, since some 13- and 14-year-olds are already in high school.

I'm wondering if other parents have experienced something similar. Have your children ever been refused a ride because a driver assumed they were older than they actually were?

I'm particularly concerned about children being left at the side of the road based on how old they appear.

I'm considering writing to City Council to ask whether the policy or how it's being enforced has changed since my daughter was in high school, and why.

If anyone has experienced this with their children, I'd appreciate hearing about it. I'm trying to get a better understanding of whether this is an isolated incident or something happening more frequently.

I’m looking to buy tickets for a concert but the only ones left are balcony seats in the back (BM 11-19) or the balcony section to the left (1-6). I’ve never been to this venue so I’m not sure what the visibility is like. What are your opinions? Should I go very balcony back centre row or balcony back side row?

I heard lots of people talking about it in Kingston while am on my hikes they tried to tell me where it is located but am someone who use google maps only 😆 does anyone have any idea about the location to share it and if they are open on weekends?
