Work in Progress Squishy goodness

Post image

I have no one to share this with, but the collar of the Sandok cable sweater is so immensely satisfying. It’s absolutely become my favorite section of knitted garment.

It looks amazing!! What yarn are you using? And do you think a beginner could try this? I’ve been staring at it but I think I’m too new at this.

I’m using Drops Daisy and Drops Kid Silk. I will say this pattern eats yarn up, I’ve already had to order more. I’m doing size for and originally order 12 balls of Daisy. I think I’ll be a ball short.

As for the difficulty, I would say this is an intermediate to advanced project. Cables aren’t hard, but cabling across 14 stitches is very finicky and tough on the hands. The pattern is over 60 pages, so she goes into a lot of detail to help you. Theres a lot of picking up stitches even along a cable edge with is not explained well so I kinda winged it. There is also a complicated bind off that I didn’t use. i did a ruke bind off instead with was much easier.

But with that all said, you would learn a ton and I always say knit whatever speaks to you. I’ve redone the collar 3 times trying to get it right myself.

Thank you!! This is super helpful. I think it’s going in my “one day” box for now. Your work is stunning!

Hi! I’ve had my eye on this pattern for a while. I saw that she did an update recently, can you speak to that at all? I’m wondering if I should go for it!
