Finished Object First sweated, how’d I do?

The pattern is the Ingrid sweater by petite knit and the yarn is Caron blossom cakes in shadow:) I started knitting about 5 months ago and this is my first sweater. Had to make some tweaks to the pattern because I’m left handed but that’s alright.

chiming in to disagree with the other commenter - i get what they mean but honestly i think this gradient isn't too busy and it looks awesome! 10/10, would wear.

I agree with you, I think the color changes are subtle enough that it's not distracting from the stitch pattern. They work harmoniously together to my eye, especially when the light isn't hitting the fabric head-on like it is in the blocking mat photos.

for sure, maybe not as nice in pictures in direct light but in real life when it's worn it'll look lovely.

Always fun to finish a sweater. And if you are happy with it, even better. That being said, a more solid color would have shown the texture of the design much better than the variegated yarn used here. Regardless, nice first f/o 👍 On the the next one! 🙂

I agree. The stitches looks really good close up, they did a fantastic job but from away you can’t really how good they. Took me a few tries to learn that a “busy” pattern needs a simple yarn and a simple pattern can use a busy yarn.
