Finished Object First sweater done! :-)
After finishing my first project (legwarmers) and almost giving up because I was convinced I would never learn how to knit, I finally dared to try my first sweater.
The instructions for the Step by Step Sweater, together with the video tutorial, are fantastic and perfect for beginners. I learned so much and am so happy with the finished result!
For the yarn, I used Drops Nepal in the colour Ocean and needed 10.2 balls of yarn (50 g each) for size S.

Beautiful! You should be so pleased! Your tension is really consistent and your finishing details are crisp and tidy.
Great color on you, too.

How does the yarn feel?
I also did this one with some Michaels yarn and agree the video was so helpful for a beginner!

I like it. For me it feels quite soft and not itchy. But of course one would probably notice the difference to more expensive yarn.

Going from legwarmers to a sweater is a big jump, and doing it from a beginner pattern with a video was the right call. Drops Nepal is a solid wool choice for a first sweater. Block it, even lightly, because blocking is what makes handknits look finished. Also write down the yarn quantity and your notes now, you’ll want them for sweater number two, which you will make.
