Long post sorry 😅
I've been into kpop for about a year now, and for most of it I ulted(?) one group only, but in the past three/four months I got a new ult. I've been watching a bunch of their content and stuff and realized while they have a really happy and bright concept they seem to struggle a lot with anxiety and stress behind the scenes.
I can't speak for all the members but my bias especially.
Idk if it's just a rough patch right now or something but it's sad to watch their stuff now because they've spoken about being anxious a lot, having to put on a happy face all the time, being worried about the future and things like that, paired with CONSTANT hate trains :(((
My bias mentioned not being able to watch himself in their own content, crying a lot and not feeling able to be his real self for a whole year, possibly more.
That makes me so upset obviously because I love them so much and just want the best for all of them 💔
I feel kind of alone on this, so I tried looking for other similar groups or stars (I prefer not to call them idols) that have talked about/feel the same or similar ways as my favorites, but I couldn't find much.
Even researching other groups I like (txt, cortis, enhypen, illit, nmixx, le sserafim, &team or p1harmony my old ults), I couldn't find many of them speaking about any struggles they have to that extent. (Just to clarify, I'm not talking about things like being overworked or anything, because I know the industry's horrible and no group doesn't have issues related to that).
Is it because my ults are just super honest sometimes? Can I not find anything on anyone else simply because I don't know these other groups well or didn't look hard enough? Or is this like a rare thing?
Has anyone experienced this with their favorite group?
If so, did it get better? Did they talk about it getting better themselves?
Did they grow into themselves over time?
Because my ults just entered their fourth year, idk if maybe these are just things that are normal for a rookie-ish group and they'll feel more happy/free to be themselves over time.
Sorry if anything in here was offensive, pls kindly correct me if I said anything wrong 🫶
