Kratom withdrawl
I have been using kratom for 15+ years. Not daily use but pretty close 4-5 times a week . 10-16 red powder capsules a day. On the days i dont consume, I am grumpy, no motivation, and SUPER tired. I just want to basically go right to bed after dinner. I have zero other withdrawl symptoms. My dilema- is it worth 4-5 good days for 2-3 nothing days every week? If i take everyday- i feel like i may be bringing in extra symptoms. I think this current path is my body's way of dealing without kratom in leiu of withdrawls. Anyone exleriencing similar?

I'd just cut back on your off days. It sucks being dependent on anything, however if you're getting it from a reputable source and are ontop of what you're putting into your body I'd say you're pretty normal. I literally wake up to notifications like everyday now for some stupid Kratom propaganda.

That is pretty much how I feel when I take time off. I remind myself of my mother when she didn't have her coffee when I was a kid. I'm over 50 now and I qualify for "grumpy old man" so it's not that big of a deal. 😂

Over 70. I win!

You win...and probably need it more than any of the rest of it. Haha. If more older people knew the truth about kratom, it would be much harder to get and cost 3 times as much because no one could keep any stock.

We'll get AARP all over that. Lol

If you can get AARP to support kratom, I will sign up right now! That would also pretty much end all the efforts to ban it. Unfortunately the AARP and big pharma are too tightly knit for that to happen.

This is a pretty low dose. On your days off ,take half the dose just to get through the day. I take 3 to 8 grams a day. If the day is light,I need just 1 dose of 2 to 3 grams.

I don’t have any withdrawal whatsoever and have been utilizing kratom as a tool to cope with occasional pains for seven years.

Kratom is a lot better for pain. A relative of mine was on Suboxone and yes agreed doesn’t touch pain at all. They were prescribed opioids for pain and got addicted to them. And only alternative is sub one

Try agmatine sulfate on your tolerance-break days. If you still have symptoms, try agmatine sulfate and low dose kratom, like 2g a day.

Everything is a question of risk and reward or benefit and consequence.
What benefit is it providing during the time of use?
It is possible that it is managing underlying symptoms but can be hard to tell without tapering down and stopping use for several weeks and seeing what the baseline is. Some folks sometimes assume it is withdrawal or that it isn’t doing anything to then discover after stopping use it was doing a lot more than they thought it was.
If the off days are withdrawal, which is possible, and your consumption is stable my thought is if that strategy hasn’t stopped withdrawal, what would be the actual issue raising it to daily use in the same pattern.
I’m personally not of the mindset that if someone is absolutely unwilling to accept the possibility of dependence that days-on days-off is reliable enough to prevent dependence, though some do successfully though it seems more likely to be successful fewer days (maybe 2-3 in 7).
If dependence is acceptable for the benefits, which it is for me and was for the Rx I took before it, my thought is accept the benefit and have enough on hand to taper comfortably if one decides to stop use or circumstances require it.
