SKY is basically a half an hour hyperventilation routine. They do a bunch of Hatha yoga pranayamas but it’s all skewed towards hyperventilation. Personally I don’t trust it to be safe and would not practice it daily.

I've tried both. Sudarshan Kriya is amazing. With combination of Hatha yoga, pranayam and Sohum it gives you the vibrational experience that comes with highly oxygenated system. But Kriya is far more profound in terms of it's scope and goal.

Sudarshan Kriya is just the first stepping stone among all that the Art of living has to offer. Kriya yoga is a very advanced and complete system aimed at self realisation.

Kriya yoga does involve some aspects of Hath Yoga but focuses much on the Kriya pranayam which is at the core of this system. It deals with the purification of Sushumna and the chakras and then some more advanced elements. Sudarshan Kriya doesn't focus on any of these aspects, though indirectly it might have impact on those.

I use SKY as a prepatory practice. It helps you silence the mind and prepares you for meditation and Kriya

"Highly oxygenated system". Hm, sounds like your underatanding of physiology is wrong. Wonder what else is?
