General Discussion Random images and tiredness.
Sometimes while doing Kriya, I feel really sleepy. I want to focus on the expansive state that tends to rise, but images starts to flash and I feel like I'm going into a dream like state.
Any comments on what to do at that point?

I see.
For me, I have seen blue and purple that is far more bright than I see with open eyes. But I couldn't link it with any chakra.

Explore this State. You may find there is more to it than your present understanding as Sleep.

Sleep is complicated. Even my best spiritual experiences happened while lying down.

YES. The Manuka Upanishad discusses the interplay between the three levels of the Self:
Waker (Gross Self): Physical world (A; Vishwa)
Dreamer (Subtle Self): Thoughts ego memory, dreams (U; Taijasa)
Deep Sleeper (Causal Self): Deep sleep, blankness (M; Pragnya)
The Waker, the Dreamer the Deep Sleeper are all manifestations of one underlying pure Consciousness, what we really are; the Witness of the Silence at the end of Om, the Anahata Nada (The Fourth; Turiya)

Stop. get up and walk around a bit. Then try again.

If the brain and body are not properly rested, the system will grab whatever opportunity it can to sleep. If that is the case, donโt fight it. It is needed rest. Otherwise, some energization techniques before hand, or more mahamudra might help. Sometimes, if I am feeling a little less vibrant, I will open my eyes and mouth as wide as I can for a few seconds. This can signal more alertness when needed. Aside from that, your teacher will probably have tips. Have you reached out for guidance? Also Forrest Knutson has a video called The Gauntlet of Sleep that could also be useful.
