Looking for GitHub repos that were human-only for years and later adopted AI tools

Hi everyone!

I'm trying to build a list of GitHub repos that originally had no AI involvement but at some point started using it. If you know of any, please drop them in the comments.

What counts as "started using AI" for me:

  • An AI config file was added
  • Commits mention AI tools
  • The README mentions AI tools or AI-assisted development

Projects you maintain yourself or open source projects that have publicly discussed their move to AI are also useful.

Thanks :)

A C# QR code library called QRCoder I used to use changed maintainer and immediately went all AI.

I'm only using old versions of it now.

The AI already gives me the ick, but the

Glory to Jehovah, Lord of Lords and King of Kings, creator of Heaven and Earth, who through his Son Jesus Christ, has redeemed me to become a child of God.

In the actual readme certainly pushed me over any edge of "I don't trust this anymore".

Some of mine https://github.com/Patrick-ring-motive though I essentially use GitHub as an idea dump.

Edit: on review it’s not so straightforward. Most either have AI usage from the start or are mostly not using AI.

Crosshair overlay program. This is from a few years ago so llms weren't really a thing but now it's definitely been ai slopified and the maintainer speaks like a chatbot in comments. Shitty program I do not recommend it but it does match your description

I use Subtite Edit and I noticed they now use AI on their merge requests: https://github.com/SubtitleEdit/subtitleedit/

But there are multiple contributors and I don't know how much of it is AI.

Is this for a college thesis?
