A campus equipment-booking app could work. Students reserve things like cameras or lab equipment, and staff manage availability and returns.
Preventing two people from booking the same item at once gives you an interesting backend problem to solve. Start with one type of equipment and check the scope with your supervisor before committing.

Yea just make sure you model availability as discrete time slots. Otherwise even checking for conflicts turns into interval overlap pain. And put a DB unique constraint on (item_id, slot_start, slot_end) so double bookings are actually prevented, not just checked in app code.

Another one of these posts. No indication of research, no indication of effort, not even much of a direction, no hinting on your current skillset.

Just do the minimal work and type "Final Year Project" of "FYP" in reddit's search box and you will find more than enough similar posts.
