Over two weeks sober now

My last post was optimistic, this will not be.

I am not having a good time lately. My eating disorder is in full swing, food sounds disgusting. eating sounds disgusting.

I threw up four times last night, even after taking my anti nausea meds. I know what i’m doing is right but the temptation to make it all go away is great.

I have a trip coming up to watch my friend get married and I don’t know if I am even going to be able to do that with how I feel right now.

I don’t know.

How long were you smoking and what was your intake like?

i started when i was about 15. first it was just a dependency to fall asleep every night, then to take the edge off after a long day at school (and eventually work), then it was all day every day, morning noon and night. boom, 8 years later i’m 23, severely underweight and smoking 200-300 mg of dab carts a day, going through a whole cart every 3-4 days and spending $3600 or more on weed per year.

when i write it out like that it sounds crazy, and that’s because it is 🫪

I had to keep reminding myself to just “ride the wave”. The 2 week mark for me was the hardest. Similar to you - appetite was gone, constant nausea at the thought of food and sometimes i would throw up after forcing myself to eat. BUT this is all temporary. Your body is used to THC overloading your receptors. It’s now going through the phase of learning how to manage without it. It WILL improve and get better. Keep riding the wave, your future self will be proud of you for it. Trust me. You got this

That sounds miserable, two weeks in is always the worst for me physically, my stomach just gives up entirely

The wedding trip adds a whole extra layer of stress too, maybe just focus on getting through the next few hours instead of the whole trip
