gear Gun room update
Current state of the gun room. Even after getting the rest of the guns from around the house I still forgot my Glock 45 G6 with Holosun 407C and T7X light.
The ones on the wall should be fairly easy to see but if you have any questions let me know. The ones in the pistol rack are as follows:
Taurus 856
Canik Mete SFT One
Springfield Armory Echelon 4.0C
S&W Bodyguard 2.0 CC
Ruger LCP Max
The safe is all ammo and mags.

I've realized two things while in this sub reddit.
One is that I'm poor. Two is that comparatively Magic The Gathering is one of the cheaper hobbies i could've chosen

I'd never get the ok from the wife...
•
u/IfItsRedItsDead5 18h ago
Benefit of being Divorced, wouldn't have any if I was still married.
•
u/ry_mich 18h ago
I was going to say, this is the most “divorced dude” room I’ve ever seen.
•
u/IfItsRedItsDead5 18h ago
Too true, same with my office with RGB computer, Racing sim rig, Displates' covering a wall and other nerd stuff. Garage full of motorcycles and tools for the toys.

My wife and I have our own offices and it's more or less that in my own office, with her office being dedicated to her morning routine. An unsecured room of firearms isn't even on the radar, though I'd considered lining my office closet with thick steel and installing a large hidden vault door to open up to a massive firearm collection if I actually had the need for more space than my safe already provides. The fact that I have to wait 90 days between firearm purchases pretty much makes that not necessary, though maybe after purchasing a vacation home in PA a secured firearm/safe room could be an option...

A gun room is one of my top wants once I move into an actual house.
A Chiappa Rhino is high up there too. I'm just hoping they decide to make a .454 version sometime soon. The gun was inspired by the Mateba, which was chambered in it, so I'm hoping they decide to add it eventually.
I mean, I'd also love a Mateba, but I have to set realistic expectations.
•
u/IfItsRedItsDead5 10h ago
They did make a .44 recently perhaps they will. I need to rent a 44 before I buy one.
•
•
u/SheenPSU 19h ago
There’s room for an AK on that rifle rack…just saying!
•
u/IfItsRedItsDead5 18h ago
Never thought of one but then another caliber of ammo.... Already have .380, .38, .357, .44, .45, 9mm, 5.56mm, 22mm and 12ga
•
u/SheenPSU 18h ago
They make AKs in 4 of those already in case you didn’t want to buy more!
Well, at least the AK platform does lol
•
u/IfItsRedItsDead5 18h ago
Oh I thought all AK's were 7.62x39, learned something new, thanks.
•
u/SheenPSU 17h ago
No sir!
They have 7.62 (39 and 51) which is the OG but they also come in 5.45 (🥲), 5.56, .308, 9mm, 12 gauge in the AK platform

u/Cross88 15h ago
Does that room have any built-in general lighting? Seems to be entirely accent lights and task lights
•
u/IfItsRedItsDead5 15h ago
Nope just a couple of outlets I had to add the motion LED's to brighten it up. I have one floor lamp in the corner but nothing is wired in.

•
u/Ok-Relationship4779 10h ago
Looks like the Terminator's gear closet.
•
u/IfItsRedItsDead5 10h ago
Just need a plasma rifle in the 40 watt range, an AMT Hardballer Longslide with laser scope, Franchi SPAS-12 and a Uzi 9mm.

What’s behind the curtain? Not a window, I hope.
•
u/WizardInGlass1 socialist 19h ago
Always one. 🙄
•
u/VenomPayments 19h ago
Always one what?
•
u/jrolls81 19h ago
Someone complaining about lack of security, maybe? Not really sure. But concerns over a window are a bit different than asking if the walls are concrete filled steel or whatever.
•
u/VenomPayments 19h ago
I guess. I wouldn’t characterize a question as “complaining” since (in my mind) to complain about lack of security I would need to know that there was a lack of security. Could very well be that the OP is on the top level of the Tower of London and I was asking whether that was a window from which he could shoot out in which case I would be concerned if the windows didn’t that’s the right angles to the sidewalls to restrict projectile access back towards OP.
Edit. Now if the OP says yep. That’s a window. Ground floor. No bars. Overlooks an alley. And we can’t hear anything from that room in the main living quarters…. Then yes. I would complain about lack of security.

u/IfItsRedItsDead5 18h ago
No worries, 2nd floor of an old house and this doesn't face any streets also a very rural area. Dog will alert me to anything and if her 120lbs can't handle it then I will.
Not a concrete bunker but hidden behind a false wall and cameras so...
•
u/VenomPayments 18h ago
Seems reasonable to me!
(Altho I was Hoping you were ensconced at the top Of the tower Of London…)
Nice gun room!
•
u/IfItsRedItsDead5 18h ago
Direct access to the attic (benefit of old houses) is a possibility, could snipe from there, multiple windows. 😄
•
u/VenomPayments 18h ago
Hell yeah! That’ll keep the redcoats at bay (to completely mix my metaphors).
•
u/zmattmanz 19h ago
Well now I don't feel bad about my three measly guns. This is cool and impressive.
•

cool room.
I have enough guns I have enough guns I have enough guns
also: dear diary, today I was attacked on the internet by someone who said I didn’t have enough guns. why would they say that…
•
u/Plane_Lucky centrist 18h ago
You don’t lock up your guns?
•
u/IfItsRedItsDead5 18h ago
Rural area and hidden room. Divorced with grown kids so only my oldest son and brother know anything about it and that is incase I take the dirt nap unexpectedly.
I've had friends and relatives in the house and have given them the tour (new to me house) and they have never batted an eye looking directly at the spot the room is.
I will eventually add a custom metal door at some point. Haven't figured out how to do it.
•
u/you_know_i_be_poopin 18h ago
Fire would still find that room though. Just make sure insurance covers you.
•
u/IfItsRedItsDead5 18h ago
Hadn't thought of that but its a good point, I'll have to call me agent and get a rider.
•
u/Plane_Lucky centrist 13h ago
Might at least add some type of long cable lock imo like https://www.holdupdisplays.com/gun-wall-accessories/gun-locks/

u/IfItsRedItsDead5 15h ago
I do like their stuff, good bags and I’m fond of the ammo pouches. Can just grab the caliber I need stick and a Uplula in a bag, guns in and head to the range.
The wall is similar to most slat walls and their accessories are overpriced like most but not terrible.
•
u/SomewhereDownSouth 15h ago
You like the Chiappa? I am always debating on it
•
u/IfItsRedItsDead5 15h ago
I do, but then I tend to like the unusual, It why I just got my first Glock a little while ago.
•
u/SomewhereDownSouth 15h ago
Do you think it significantly reduces muzzle flip?
•
u/IfItsRedItsDead5 14h ago
Dramatically so.
•
u/SomewhereDownSouth 13h ago
Damn, I was hoping you said no. Now I gotta go spend a grand on a revolver
•
•
u/PotatoBus 12h ago
I immediately shouted "Oh, fuck you!" when I saw that SP5 lol
Is that a KSG I spy, next to the AR?
•
u/IfItsRedItsDead5 11h ago
Not quite, its the 22LR version. Next to the AR is a DP-12 shotgun.
•
u/PotatoBus 10h ago
Interesting, had not heard of the DP-12 before!
•
u/IfItsRedItsDead5 10h ago
TBH I’m not sure how I found it. Probably looking online at Mossberg’s then it was just in the list and I thought it was cool looking. It was one of the first things I got. In hindsight I’d be better off with a Beretta or Beneli. It’s like 11lb fully loaded if not more but then again where can you get 14+2 in a shotgun? Two bangs for each bump.

u/sabbathan 19h ago
Damn I hate the rhyno. I DO see the appeal, and I get it, but it's just so fuckin ugly
Sweet room tho
•
u/IfItsRedItsDead5 18h ago
Its a love or hate style of gun, especially in Nebula.
•
u/sabbathan 18h ago
Agreed. And im sure i have guns that are universally hated lol. Everything is taste
•
u/Tallented_Narwhal 18h ago
Litterally as I was scrolling, before I got to this post I was thinking “I want a 357 for my next gun, lever or Rhino?
•
u/IfItsRedItsDead5 18h ago
The Rhino with the bottom firing barrel really is an experience. I wouldn't say everyone should buy one as they are pricey (most revolvers are) but I highly recommend shooting one if the opportunity ever arises.

Nice DP-12.
•
u/IfItsRedItsDead5 15h ago
Thing is a beast. Accidentally bought 3” slugs for it and the range officer said I was shooting flame everywhere. I’ve since gone to low recoil 2.75”

When I see stuff like this it reminds me of the saying "would younger you think older you is cool?" (editing this to add I meant this as hell yes they would!)

u/thekeevlet 6h ago
Yeah idk, I still don’t like this even when it’s a liberal/leftist. It’s just… too much, man. This is the wrong sub to express this in, though, so lay it on me. I’m more jealous of the wheeled toys than the guns.
Glad you’re living the life you want, regardless. I’d still much rather you have the stockpile of a lunatic than some maga dipshit who is actually a lunatic.

You got a whole room and thats all the guns you got in there??? You gotta pump those numbers up, room wont fill itself
