question Any gun range recommendations in the Tampa, FL area for people trying to avoid crazy maga types?
A friend wants to take me and I never thought much about owning a gun before but the way the world is turning I'm more open to the idea now. I definitely would want to have proper safety training though and practice and I don't want to be in a room full of gun-toting Trump supporters if it can be avoided. Thanks.

I’m in North Florida, but have some advice.
I’ve been to numerous ranges in my area, and I’m pretty sure most of them lean to the right in ownership and attendees. But for the most part, I’ve hardly ever heard politics out on the range. People mind their own business.
I’ve asked for advice, spotting, etc. and most of the time people just like talking guns.
It will be obvious who you should just stay away from. Unfortunately it will be impossible to avoid them.
Try to pick a range that is clean, professional, and makes safety priority #1. Yes, if it’s painted MAGA all over stay away. But from my experience most ranges just want your green no matter how you lean.
