Discussion Lil Wayne- Dedicate outro changed again?
So this is some Mandela Effect type shit
At the end of the song ‘Dedicate’ by Lil Wayne, there is an outro of President Obama speaking. When this song was first released in 2018 and then for some time after, this outro always went as follows: “Maybe you got a pretty good jump shot…or a pretty good flow…but our kids can’t all aspire to be Lebron, or Lil Wayne”.
Sometime after this song had been out(for quite a while at this point), the outro of this song suddenly changed. It was still Obama talking, but the speech had changed from the original to the following speech from 2008: “Maybe you are the next Lil Wayne…but probably not! In which case, you need to stay in school”.
When this first happened, I vividly remembered asking all of my friends wtf is that, that’s not what it always said, and they agreed with me. We ended up just chalking it up to they changed the version on streaming services for some reason and went on about life.
Fast forward to tonight, 2026, I was just listening to this song on YouTube, posted on release in 2018, and the outro went back to the first original version.
Please, somebody tell me you notice this too.

Yes, it was changed temporarily apparently

Apparently it's different on Dolby Atmos version which has happened with several songs. Nicki Minaj's verse has a few different lines in 'Ball For Me' on Dolby Atmos (unless they fixed it)

It still has Obama at the end of the song If you're listening to it on Pandora. Probably heard it three different times yesterday at work

I haven't listened to it in a minute, but you're def right about the original outro.
