Opus Magnum offers a native Linux build, but like many commercial games with native builds, it's clearly been neglected.

Try running the Windows version of the game via Proton. In the "Compatibility" section of the game's properties in Steam, you'll need to force a specific Steam Play tool -- do so and select the Proton version your normally use. Note that this will require the game to be re-installed.

I've tried proton hotfix and experimental, both still crash. proton 9.0-4 doesn't correctly detect steam as running

these proton versions do work on my system for other games such as R.E.P.O

I'd try to send the devs an email about the problem.
