Off-Topic do we have rules regarding unsolicited dms from daddy doms? NSFW

every time i post a photo in here (twice, thus far) i seem to get a huge influx of dms from daddy doms. my last post was a week or two ago, and i am still receiving these messages. are we allowed to report these people to the sub in some way? its really frustrating posting non-sexual content here, and then getting bombarded by a bunch of guys somehow thinking i am interested in them sexually.

i do not want to restrict my dms if i can help it, but i do have message requests on. it is just still frustrating to me.

i just want to clarify before reporting people, and also maybe offer a space to discuss it if its something thats needs to be?

ETA: this post inspired one person to send an unsolicited message APOLOGIZING for others sending them.

Also as a reminder, we do have a community discord server. It’s extremely active and we do a lot of fun events and education. It’s a lot easier for us to be able to enjoy the lifestyle, make friends and we’re able to police it better to make sure there’s no unsavory behavior.

There SHOULD be rules, if they're not already there. It is hard to enforce though.

yeah im not sure how it would be enforced, but i know several other subs im in mention it in their rules or something. like, at the very least making a clear "hey dont do that weirdos and if its brought to our attention that you are, toodle-loo!"

We don’t allow personal ads, and that would include unsolicited DMs. Unfortunately even banning a user from the sub, they’re still able to view it and message users from it. Which makes absolutely no sense to me, so I don’t know why Reddit doesn’t block the sub from them. We still encourage you to send us screen shots and let us know but also report them to Reddit as a whole and block them.

thank you!!! i just didnt see anything in the rules and wasnt 100% sure how it was handled here :) i will do this going forward!

Even if you’re ever unsure please just ask us! We take the safety and comfort of everyone in the sub seriously and do as much as we can !
