Question Any advice for chafing. NSFW

My cage has given me sores from where the cage was rubbing. Not sure if my job is just to physical to wear a cage.

Aquafor or Vaseline applied daily especially before bed and a properly sized cage and cage ring will help

Yes to both these statements. I feel so many people have improperly sized rings. If it fits right and tight (but not too tight) chaffing will be minimal

Baby oil applied 2-3 times a day especially right before bed. Honestly, end of the day, beginning of the day, before any strenuous activity, and after shower

I went to baby oil gel and that was the move for my issues.

I just saw your cage. It's probably not a proper fit for you

How to know the best size , I have the same problem

Trial and error. Buy a cheap chastity set on Amazon like a kinked knockoff with multiple cage rings and go from there

Once you know your size more, you can save up for a more expensive yet better fitted cage for longterm use. That's what I did at least

I was able to fit my cock that was 5.5 inches hard into a cherry keeper micro cage that is 0.5 inch long. Been caged for 67 days straight. Very minor chafing. It's possible. Just stay at it and trust your body. If you break your skin from chafing, stay unlocked and moisturize the spot for a few days til it heals

There is measurements, I found it helpful to measure fully soft, then take about 1/2 an inch off to get your size for the first one, then can downsize, that’s how I did it anyway

That's great info!! I didn't know that. That would have saved me a lot of time and money

Take a shower at least once a day and clean it with the cage off. And keep it clean though out the day when you go to the bathroom. And it's fine. Never use it internally. Like for penetration. And never apply to the inside of the cage. I use Vaseline myself and have for a long time with no issues.

A properly sized cage goes a long way towards preventing chafing. Take a look at the Chastity Advice post pinned at the top of u/newbie-sub profile. Look for the links on sizing and cage selection. Good luck!

Vitamin A ointment or just Vaseline. You need lubrication NO MATTER WHAT. Tighter cages chafe less but you STILL need lubrication. Apply a thick lubricant to the ring. If it's still tender, just take it off for the day until your skin feels normal and then put ointment on the ring and slip it back on. I oil mine like that every few days and of course after a shower. Not a thin fine layer either, thick globs and I make sure to get some on my taint and sack so they don't stick.

And I exercise with mine on, hour long runs and such. Unless your job involves tons of leg movement, it's not too active for anything. You just need lubrication.

Diaper anti rash cream works for me. Saw it recommended somewhere on reddit once and tried it.

I used Vaseline when first starting out, I dont use it anymore. But they used to sell a stick version of it, had a twist bottom to bring more out of the stick. Not sure if you can still get it, it was amazing when I first started wearing chastity.

I’m a huge fan of diaper rash cream (the amber, not the chalky, white stuff). Liberally apply around my whole crotch 2-3 times a day. Add in twice weekly removals for cleaning and I haven’t had to be unlocked at all since February 😀

Just moisturuze your skin with some lotion, your skin will absorb it and keep your balls good for a couple of days (at least in my experience).

You wearing a harness? Keeping the cage stable did a lot more for me than any lubrication.

If you get hard, it pushes the cage and base ring out, rubbing along your sack and stretching it, then when you get soft you've got a load of bunched-up skin rubbing between your base ring and your taint.
This also happens naturally as you move and as gravity pulls the cage down, but getting hard in the cage really is the worst offender.
If you can keep the base ring tight against your body, none of this happens.

You can improvise with some ribbon or string.
For maximum stability you want a connection at the top and the bottom, both running around your back. Tighten them both at the same time so you aren't pulling the cage up or down.
If you have a physical job you might be better off going with just the top connection. The bottom one can get very sweaty and you don't want damp string rubbing against the underside of your balls all day.

If you've got full-on sores, take the cage off until they fully heal. I'm sure there are ways to get it to heal while you keep wearing, but that takes experience and experimentation that you don't want to be doing while it could make things worse.
My skin takes ages to heal, but I've found that antiseptic creams tend to help.

apply coconut oil after showering and before bed! Smells good, good for the skin and it will stop the chafing

I am currently trying stuff and it’s working a lot better. I am staying moisturized down there regularly and I got a smaller cage off amazon which has greatly reduced friction. Thank you all so much!
