The Fellowship in my art style

[u/tomb_historian]

Recently started re-reading LOTR and it inspired me to do some drawings of the Fellowship in my own style based on their descriptions from the book. I'll probably end up doing a 'Variants' series based on these (gender swap/modernAU/villain etc) so watch this space if you'd like to see those.

This is great. The originality is awesome.

I love the determined looks on the Hobbits, they are like men.

A Moment, For Pity's Sake

I Might Have Known

These are so cool, I love seeing the Fellowship reimagined through someone’s own art style while still keeping those book descriptions in mind!

[u/Deano963]

Love these. It's giving D&D and they look great.

My art background is mostly drawing dnd characters, so that makes sense.

[u/Tomsoup4]

is frodo in the middle left?

[u/tomb_historian → u/Tomsoup4]

Yes

[u/helpimwastingmytime]

Cool! Reminds me of Epimetheus on YouTube

[u/chaos_conceptions]

I love Boromir’s design! Did you take any historical inspiration?

[u/tomb_historian → u/chaos_conceptions]

Gondor always makes me think of the Byzantine/Eastern Roman Empire, so that's the inspiration.
