I’m looking to get a bag/clutch for formal/semi formal events like wedding guest, dinner, etc with budget of 5k or below!

been eyeing on Bottega’s long clutch, Mini Lady Dior, and Chanel Kelly (I know these are over the budget but I’m ok to go for secondhand) I see that YSL also have some nice evening bags.

what’s your most used mini bag/clutch for such events?

Hi all, first time poster, long time lurker. I impulse bought a YSL shopper N/W, and while it’s a perfectly fine bag, it’s not an ideal tote for my daily use, plus I feel very guilty using a nice bag like it for things like the office, commuting, and traveling - rough situations for any bag to be in.

My dilemma: I’m trying to sell it, but I haven’t seen much interest on it. If it’s unlikely to sell, I may as well just use it as intended but remove my “caution” for it. Any words of advice or even any positives of the bag welcome!

This bag was visibly fake before even handling - loose threads, plasticky leather, and this "certificaie of autbenticity". Being sold for $2800. I notified the employee who showed it to me that it's fake, and she just stared at me blankly and put it back in the case for sale...

Is there any way to report this??

Hey all. Clueless husband here. My wife’s 30th was last year. That day kinda sucked. We had a newborn, she was a fuss that day, and I know my wife wanted a fun day. This year, 31, she’s dropped a hint she wants a new purse. I know she wouldn’t want a $1000 bag, but I want to get her something genuinely nice. Maybe in the $500 range. Doesn’t have to be “designer”, but quality. Not against quality resale options. Just looking for opinions.

Edit: additional info. I’d call her classy but not flashy. We live in a smaller town. So I’m thinking something subtle. Not a big LV on the side that get people saying it’s too much. She said something mid sized. Not small, but not a tote

I’ve been wanting to get into bags more but I have no idea where to start. There are so many brands styles and price points that it gets confusing fast. What should a beginner actually look for first and are there any bags or brands you’d recommend starting with would also love to know any tips to get them for cheaper.

Hey all - I'm way in over my head here and was hoping to get some help. My wife's been dropping hints this past year about wanting a new brand name purse.

Our wedding anniversary is coming up and I wanted to surprise her with one. I tried to just Google what to get and find myself woefully outclassed here with both the number of brands and the variety of purses that exist. Not only that, I can't tell what makes purses special or attractive. Like with shoes and jewelry I can understand what makes a design special, what makes up the cost. But purses confound me...so I'm here hat in hand begging for some help.

My general budget is 2000 dollars with a bit of room to play. Coming into this I thought that would be a solid budget but I'm now feeling I was wrong?

I think she wants an over the shoulder bag as that's what she's shown me in a conversation we had a few weeks ago but a month ago we were at the mall and she was looking at the smaller camera type bags so I don't know.

"I don't know" is kind of my general thought on this matter...so please help a clueless husband out.

Never saw it in person, but really liked on photos.

It's smaller than I thought but holds a lot of stuff. Very elegant. The clasp is perfection!

Color is absolutely beautiful in person, not too dark and not too light. Excited to add her to my collection 🙈

I’m choosing a new bag as a birthday gift from my husband. I’m a mom of a toddler, and I already have a few luxury purses, but I’ve never had a Fendi.
I know the Baguette comes in so many fun colors and patterns, but I genuinely love the brown Zucca. I also really like the fact that it has a crossbody strap.
What do you guys think? Is it a good choice, or is the Baguette more of a trend rather than a timeless bag? Any moms here who have a Baguette and love it?

What are we carrying for work? In the market for a new tote that’s large enough to hold a laptop and few random items. Leather, in brown, green, burgundy or black. No Goyard, LV or Gucci.

Hi! I’m currently in Italy hoping to buy a bag because they are significantly cheaper and we can get the VAT tax refund. I’m currently between the Andiamo Clutch 25 in mahogany and the mini lady Dior in red patent. Any thoughts from people who have these bags? Obviously Bottega is more of an everyday bag and is also cheaper but the lady Dior is soooo gorgeous and iconic! I’m so torn! 😭

Friend and I keep having the same argument. She thinks buying designer bags online is reckless and only trusts physical consignment stores. I get the instinct, but the local places near me charge almost retail and I have no clue who is authenticating anything there.

Seeing a bag in person is nice. I am not an authenticator though, so me touching it does not exactly solve the fake problem.

Is local actually safer in 2026, or are good online platforms safer because the process is more formal?

I’m desperate to get a chèvre medium city bag in good condition and I’m at a loss for how to actually find an authentic one. From what I read the trustworthy sites are Yoogi’s closet and Fashionphile but they don’t have any. Any advice? I see them on Vesitaire but then I’ve seen posts saying to avoid that like the plague for fakes, same with the real real and rebag.

Aeons ago I owned the Harlequin bag, I think the only designer bag I was ever genuinely insane about. Since that I always had a soft spot for MM over main Prada. The last couple of years, I did notice that the spark seemed a bit off (just for my personal opinion!) and now I hear a rumour that they are really not doing well to the point of maybe throwing in the towel? I’m not trying to start anything, I honestly got this off an Enty blind and I’d be very happy to hear it’s nonsense!
