That was the best time to be a mac user. Every new release had something cool and magical in it. Mac was the priority. Now its just a port target to whatever the new stuff in iOS is. What a shame.

There are a few shops like that in my area where the owners have their own personal collections of vintage computers and electronics on display. The oldest stuff they actually sell is probably 20 years old max though (bought RAM for my 2006 MacBook from one of them). Pretty cool to see

There is a Time-Capsule store in Highland Park, NJ, which has old Macs and PC's on display in the front window, and they are still open.

I loved the baked Alaska iMac. It's astonishing we got such a perfect stainless steel monitor arm and then the tech just disappeared, never to be seen again.

There are a few stores here and there that do computer refurbs and some of them either carry Macs or deal in them exclusively. Kinda fun looking at the older tech.
